As I Lay Dying Part 2

3rd Person POV:

The venom sample Caroline got from Rose was able to help Bonnie narrow things down a bit but it still didn't provide an exact location.

It was good enough for Damon tho, more than willing to kill anyone in a 10-mile radius in order to find the wolf in question.

He was already halfway to his car the moment Bonnie gave him the zipcode she was able to narrow down Opie's location to.

"Damon! Damon wait!" Stefan called rushing out after him.

"Sorry Brother, no time to stay and chat," Damon called back not breaking his stride and getting in his car.

Stefan blocked his path not letting him drive off but Damon just reversed down the driveway instead.

Stefan vamp speeds again stopping him at the end of the drive.

"Stefan move or I will drive through you!" Damon warns.

"You can't leave like this, at least say goodbye to Rose," Stefan tells him.

In a flash, Damon is out of the car and has his hands around Stefan's neck.

"I'm not saying goodbye to her, do you hear me? Not now, not ever, so she had better be fucking alive when I get back or I will burn this whole town to the ground, do you understand me?"

Despite his brother's violent actions and words Stefan can see just how scared he is and nods.

"I'll make sure she hangs on, Damon," Stefan tells him.

"See that you do, brother."

In the blink of an eye Damon has let Stefan go and driven off.

Stefan walks back and goes up to check on Rose only to find himself in yet another choke hold.

"Where the bloody hell am I?!" Rose shouts her voice sounding different to Stefan, a little deeper and her British accent stronger than he can remember hearing it.

"Rose, hey, it's me it's Stefan, you're at the Salvatore Boarding House, you were bit by a werewolf but we have a lead on a cure, Damon's on his way to get it now," Stefan quickly explains and Rose loosens her grip on his neck.

"A werewolf? No, no, no, there is no cure," she says starting to panic as she scans her body looking for the bite only to get distracted by her hands and then her hair.

"What happened to my hair?!" She shouts.

"Rose?" Stefan asks confused.

"It's bloody red and a mile long, this isn't my hair, these aren't even my fucking arms what is happening!" She shouts back at him.

"Just breathe, Rose, you're disoriented from the bite, lay back down just rest, you need to conserve your strength until Damon is back," Stefan tells her trying to calm her down.

"Damon? Who the hell is Damon?" She asks now really worrying Stefan.

Damon POV:

It only took me about 40 minutes to pull into the small mountain town Bonnie gave me.

Stupid of him to stay so close after attacking Rose but I guess at least his lack of mental foresight was convenient.

I didn't love leaving her care to Stefan but I just couldn't take seeing her like that, maybe it was selfish and cowardly of me... but me staying and watching her suffer even just for a moment to say goodbye before leaving wasn't going to fix the problem, and I was going to fix this.

3rd Person POV:

Back at the Boarding House, Stefan explained to Elena what Rose had said, Caroline had also hung around to help but with her vampire hearing he didn't need to get her up to speed.
