"Hey Sherri!" Tony called.
He was standing by the bleachers with his hands in his pockets.
Sherri had almost not heard his voice with all the yelling and cheering going on.
She turned to see Tony standing by the bleachers and she immediately felt her mood drop.
This couldn't be good.
She jogged over to him, making sure to look around to see that Cindy was preoccupied enough to not notice her jogging off.
"What do you want, Tony?" She hissed when she got to him, making sure to pull him back, a few feet away from the bleachers not wanting anyone to see them talking.
Tony rolled his eyes. "Sorry for interrupting your little cheer fest. Have you seen Ari?"
Sherri folded her arms and frowned. "No, she came to school without me and I haven't see her all day."
Sherri looked back at the lined up cheerleaders. "Actually, I'm really worried." She confessed. "The other girls told me there was an... altercation."
"An altercation?" Tony asked in confusion.
"Apparently Maria got mad and said some sh*t to her about Jeff and she ran off." Sherri spoke, anger flaring within her.
"What the hell?" Tony yelled, getting upset as well. "And you don't know where she is?"
Sherri could practically hear the judgement in Tony's voice. She already felt bad enough about the argument they had had the day before.
"The girls said that she left somewhere with Zach. I've tried calling but -"
"Unbelievable." Tony scoffed.
Sherri narrowed her eyes at him. "Hey, could you not blame me for a second?"
Tony stared at her incredulously. "Are you f*cking serious right now, Sherri? You're not exactly innocent."
Sherri looked around worried someone would overhear their conversation.
"Could we not do this?" She seethed.
Tony stared at her. He shook his head. "You need to tell her."
Sherri felt herself stiffen.
She turned around. "They're about to start announcing the line ups, Brian will be waiting for me -"Tony held on to her arm. He leaned in closer to her. "Hannah said it was an accident. Ari will understand that too."
Sherri pulled away from him as if his touch had burnt her. "I - I don't know what you're talking about." She spoke before walking away.
Tony sighed.
If he heard one more person say what was in the tapes had all been a lie, he was going to lose it.
"If you don't, someone else will!" He called after her.
Sherri didn't turn around but she felt the fear eat at her.
She knew that already. She knew it all too well.
Jessica Davis had stopped to watch the whole thing. As soon as Sherri walked back to the cheerleaders, she grabbed her arm and pulled her closer.
"What the hell did Tony want?" She whispered.
"Nothing." Sherri spoke quickly trying to sound normal. "He was just looking for Ari."
Jessica wasn't convinced. "Well where is Ari?" She asked.
"I don't know." Sherri replied gruffly.
Jessica rose her brows at her. "I heard about what Maria said to her, shouldn't you like be with her? Make sure she's okay?"
