Sherri Berry💜

-Hey

-heard about your fight with Justin

-Want me to pick you up?

Ariel glanced at her phone and let out a huff.

She looked around feeling like everyone's eyes were on her.

Ever since her outburst in the library, she knew that people would talk.

People at Liberty always talked.

Sherri Berry💜

-Trust me, there's nothing I'd like more.

-But I still have to help Courtney with the memorial so I guess I'll see you later

Sherri texted back a frown emoji and Ariel immediately started to regret not taking her up on her offer.

It didn't help that so far Courtney hadn't been returning her calls. Even if she had told her to meet her there.

After a few minutes Ariel got tired of waiting. Especially since she knew the basketball team would be meeting here.

Hence Justin would be here.

And he's the last person she wanted to see right now.

She got up from where she sat by the bleachers. She stopped  at the girl's bathroom before she continued her search for Courtney.

When she was by the sink washing her hands she heard someone come in.

She didn't look up, barely paying attention to who it was.

But then she heard her speak. "Hey, could you hand me some paper towels?"

Ariel looked up and saw Angie. She also saw Angie's shirt wet with a purple stain on the front.

"Oh." She spoke.

She quickly pulled some towels out of the dispenser before turning around and rushing to Angie who took them from her and started dabbing at her pink top.

"Stupid Monty." She muttered to herself.

Ariel wasn't too surprised when she heard that he was behind this.

"What happened?" She asked.

Angie let out a huff. "The doucebag was leaning in to kiss me and this happened." Angie gestured to her shirt in frustration.

Ariel stepped back.

"I didn't know you and Monty-"

"We're not." Angie spoke forcefully. "I just thought his cuteness would override the rest of him."

"Well sorry about that." Ariel muttered.

Even she could have told Angie that Monty was a bad idea.

For goodness sake more than half of Monty's exes and flings could talk about what a bad idea he was.

But Ariel could have said all this to Angie in a previous life before the Jeff drama had made them stop being friends.

Now she couldn't talk to Angie without the fear of getting either a slap or sympathy. And she wanted neither.

Ariel picked up her bag and was about to head out with Angie spoke.

"I heard you and your boyfriend got into it in the library today."

Ariel stood still.

She could still feel the fury biting at her and she had to take in a deep breath before turning to look at Angie.
