SOPHOMORE YEAR, HIGH SCHOOL.

"Hanni, do you know Kim Minji?" I heard Danielle ask me as I was stuffing my mouth with some dumplings, that were very delicious by the way!

I looked over at her, trying to connect the name to a face in my head. My mind kept rummaging around until I heard the little ding! When I figured out who Danielle was talking about.

I swallowed down the dumplings, wiping my mouth before speaking.

"Yes! Isn't it the captain of the basketball team?" I asked with a frown plastered on my face.

I watched Danielle hum in confirmation, I kept looking at her, squinting my eyes at her. I could see her smiling, being all giggly.

"Why do you ask? Is there something I should know?" I asked still slightly squinting my eyes at her.

Not in that way of course, she's with Haerin right now, Danielle is pretty head over heels for her girlfriend.

"Well...I've heard some stuff." She said, taking one of my dumplings, I barely had the chance to react as she had already stuffed it in her mouth.

I smacked her arm playfully as I glared at her.

She gave me a finger heart as she blew me a kiss. I rolled my eyes at her, throwing up my middle finger at her.

"Anyway! I heard that she has a crush..." Danielle said, I was taken back a bit. Why was she telling me this? I had no interest in knowing her love life.

Heck! I kind of forgot she existed.

"And why are you telling me this? I have no interest in knowing anything about her." I said, causing Danielle to look offended.

"Have you not heard?" She asked, her jaw meeting the ground in the most exaggerated way possible. I frowned.

"Know about what? All I do know is that she is getting a scholarship for her basketball abilities, which good for her, I guess." I said shrugging, completely ignoring Danielle's baffled look.

"Hanni, Minji has her eyes set on you!" Danielle said, slamming her hand on the table, grabbing the other kids attention immediately.

I bowed at them as I apologized for Danielle, this is why we don't sit inside the cafeteria.

And I finally let my reaction come in, my jaw was just as dropped as Danielle's. I looked at her in disbelief.

"This is a big deal, Hanni! She had announced her feelings for you when Sullyoon confessed to her." I didn't think my jaw could go any lower.

I was shook, the Kim Minji has her eyes set on me? What does that even mean? Does she like me?

No, there's no way. I'm part of the weird kids for god sake! Why would she notice me, out of all people?!

I kept looking at Danielle, hopping for her to say 'happy early April fools!' But she looked serious.

So she wasn't playing around?

I felt my heart racing, why was it beating like this? I have no known feelings for Minji. I only thought she was cool.

I didn't find her attractive in any way or form......okay maybe a little, but it wasn't a crush or anything.

I admired her, she was smart and athletic, dedicated to her wants. She was amazing.

"Hanni, you have to go talk to her, this is your chance!" Chance for what? I shook my head as Danielle let out what seemed to be a whine.
