"Just calm down, alright?!" Newt said, running up to Thomas, who stood up after Gally rudely pushed him on the ground. Alaynah didn't like this scene because Gally acted like the victim, even though he was actually the one who viciously pushed Thomas first for no reason at all.

"Why are you telling him to calm down? Ask Gally to, especially when he pushed the greenie first." Alaynah said, standing up for Thomas.

"Hey! Greenies like you can't just talk to us like that!" Gally, being the incredibly annoying guy, said. If he knew he had some fangirls... Alaynah did not want to think how much his ego would increase, especially in the first movie.

"Gally, have I ever told you how weird your eyebrows look? I just feel like it might fly away like a bird. Maybe it can carry the maze, or make you fly out of it for freedom. You haven't tried that, but you should," she said.

"I never asked for your opinion," Gally replied. Such a basic 'baddie'  response.

"I can totally see you rocking on boots like a baddie girl," Alaynah mused. For a 13 - or 14-year-old, she had a pretty big mouth.

"Why won't you tell me what's out there?" Thomas said, interrupting the banter between Gally and Alaynah.

"Uhhh, because they don't want to-?" Alaynah asked.

"Just tryna protect you, man," Alby replied, hand gesturing for him to stop, and someone, probably Newt, said, "For your own good."

"You can't just keep me here!" Thomas shouted.

"Why not?" Alaynah asked.

"We can't let you leave."

"Well, why not?" Thomas also asked.

"Oh, Tommy Wommy, if only you knew." Alaynah whispered to herself very quietly, cringing at the nickname she just made.

Suddenly, the maze's volume arose, making a high-pitched screech. Two unholy seconds later, the maze started to close. In Alaynah 's opinion, the maze doors closing sounded like an elephant using their trunk to scream.

Wind gushed all over her face. "Phew. That was airy... windy? Gassy? No, not gassy. Hey, gassy rhymes with Persassy."

Everyone ignored her, and when the doors of death closed, Gally said, "Next time, I ain't gonna let you leave."

"We all heard that, Gallywag," Alaynah scowled. His eyebrows were really starting to annoy her. Well, not really.

"Oh man, that guy... I can't stand him. I DON'T KNOW WHY. Why can't God just let me like him if 75 per cent of the fandom likes him?" Alaynah muttered. "Oh wait, that's because he gets an awesome redemption. Oh yeah."

"So uhhhh... hi Greenie?" Alaynah said to Thomas, walking up to him while he talked to Chuck.

"Do you know anything about the Maze?" Thomas asked. Seriously? Was that the first thing he wanted to say? Not a single, 'Hi, Alaynah,' or anything.

"You shouldn't  go in there... I'm just kidding. We all need a little danger once in a while. But there are many dangerous stuff lurking there."

"Like what?" He asked, now curiously.

"Don't tell anyone I told you, but I will tell you, because I can tell you, since no one know I told you so they won't be able to tell someone I told you... unless you tell them i told you."

"Okay..?" Thomas said, still waiting eagerly for the answer. To make it more dramatic, Alaynah sat down on a chair next to his and tried to see how to get a good angle so people would also edit her on Tiktok or something if someone saw the movie. She could just imagine the best edits of herself.

"You two can have your privacy," said Chuck, who Alaynah kind of guiltily forgot was there. He then wandered off somewhere random - Alaynah had no idea where.

"So basically, there are these things in the maze called grievers. Nasty things. Very nasty. They look like an experiment gone terribly wrong. Part animal, part
machine. Its body resembles a gigantic slug, sparsely covered in hair and glistening with slime. It has no distinguishable head or tail, but in front to end, they are at least six feet long, maybe four feet thick. Every ten to fifteen seconds, sharp metal spikes pop through its bulbous flesh -" Alaynah rambled on about grievers and what they looked like, forgetting about letting on too much. She was basically a nerd when it came to them. She remembered everything.

"Okay, that's enough explaining. How do you know all this?" Thomas asked because that's all he does. Ask.

"Oh, uhmm... Newt told me. How else do you think I know about grievers? I read it from some book about grievers? No. I totally wouldn't. Heh."

"Has anyone ever survived a night there? In a maze by themselves."

"Never, greenie, never. Not even with a person."

"What if someone was stuck in there - What would happen?"

"They would be past due."

"What?"

"They would be left to die."

"What if someone helped them?"

"The ones who helped them would also be past due."

"Oh. Okay." Thomas said, then stopped asking questions. Alaynah went away to go to sleep - hopefully no weirdo nightmares.
