[An: I'm already missing editing Alaynah.]

Alaynah was woken up by someone calling Thomas' name. Alby. He was probably going to wake Thomas up and make him write his name down like he did in the movies. Everything was going movie way. Why did she not write her name down on the stone wall yet? She went back to sleep anyway, not being bothered about it at all. This was the day

Alaynah woke up and was surprised to see everyone gone, except for Newt, who was looming over her face. This was the second time.

"Oh. I was about to give you a shucking jumpscare to wake you up because you are very late." He said.

"Wait, really?"

"Yes." Newt replied.

"Hey, why did I not write my name down on the stone wall? Y'know, the one where the gladers have their name carved on?" Alaynah asked, being a Thomas.

"Because you couldn't get up that day, since yeah, so someone else wrote it down." Newt replied. "Anyways, get up."

Alaynah rubbed her eyes and got up, watching Newt go away. Man, he was a fine looking guy. If Alaynah didn't want to be single, who knows how many times she would've flirted with Newt and Minho? (We don't want to know that, I assure you.)

She got up and went outside, looking at builders going to work with their hands, and saw track-hoes tracking the h*es... okay, maybe not that, because Teresa wasn't here yet... she would come today.

Out of nowhere, she felt a little sympathy for movie Teresa. Teresa chose the world over her friends. She thought it was the right thing to do. Alaynah would try to be friends with her. Her life as Deedee must have been traumatising.

Alaynah then wondered what job she would get to do in the maze, and she was kind of hoping she wouldn't have to take care of fertiliser with Thomas - she did not want to get attacked by Ben. Never mind, on second thoughts, she maybe wanted to. 'You've probably jinxed it for yourself anyway, so good luck surviving Ben.'

Ahead walked to where Newt and Thomas were. She just stood there awkwardly, not moving an inch, while the two boys chatted. Alaynah didn't bother saying anything... not even a "HI B*TCHES." Even though that would be a fine greeting.

Thomas was holding a shovel, using it as an old granddad's stick, holding on to it. "Has anyone ever tried climbing to the top?"

Alaynah butted in."Duh, Seaweed Brain. The ivy doesn't reach all the way to the top. What did you think? That the owner of the maze, who probably has 500 IQ, would be that dumb? He... or she... probably set up the ivy for someone to do suic-. " She caught her good-for-nothing tongue before she could say anything else.

"What Laynah said." Newt agreed with her. Nice. 1 point to Alaynah because someone agreed with her. "We obviously have tried it. The ivy doesn't go all the way to the top, like she said. And besides, where are you gonna go from there?"

"Build a ladder on the bits of the wall that isn't covered with ivy, and once you've climbed it, build a bridge until you reach the end." Alaynah said, going deep in thought. She remembered a certain video made from a channel made HISHE (How It Should Have Ended) who made a video on how the maze runner should've ended, and it was said that in the movies, you could see the ivy go all the way to the top. [If you've never heard of the YouTube channel, you won't know what I am talking about.]

Newt had no time to respond to Alaynah's idea because Thomas had already started to ask a second question. "And what about the box? You know, next time it comes up, you -"
