How've you been?
I guess you're fine,
It's been pretty long since we've last seen

"Felix? Are you ready?" Felix's mum shouted up the stairs, "Get your ass down here before you're late for school!" Oh yeah, it was his first day at his new school. He's in his 2nd to last year and he's moving to an entirely new school that he had zero input on whether he'd be going to. This is the 3rd high school his parents had forced him to go to. Not that he'd argue with them about it, he wouldn't dare.

He had finished getting dressed and collecting his stuff together.

"YONGBOK!" His mum yelled even louder.

"COMING MOTHER!" He yelled back, but with a calmer tone. He has to be some sort of 'perfect' son, if that even exists. He's made to talk calmly and respectfully, show no emotion and call his parents 'mother' and 'father'. The worst thing though? He does and he believes that's he's a terrible person when he doesn't do those things, well he did, at least.

Felix quickly but softly ran down the stairs, to avoid getting scolded further. He placed his coat and bag onto his shoulders smoothly and put his shoes on well, polishing them a little afterwards.

"Yongbok. Be good." His father spoke firmly, nothing but a blank page behind his eyes.

"Yes Father, I will Father."

He bid farewell to his parents and left the house, shutting the door carefully behind him. If he said he wasn't even slightly terrified by his parents, he'd be lying.

As he set off on his walk to school, which wasn't very far at all surprisingly, he found himself feeling nervous but knew not to show it in public. In his attempt to hide his nervousness as he walked down the street, he stared at the ground and obviously was not looking where he was going.

CRASH

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!" Felix apologised sincerely to the person he had collided with.

"Don't be sorry mate! I was helping you! You nearly walked into the road, you need to look where you're going bro." A bubbly boy that looked about a year older than Felix exclaimed.

"Oh, well then thank you." Felix thanked the boy and kept walking towards the bottom of a large uphill road.

"Wait! Be careful!" The boy ran a short distance to catch up to Felix, who had his head back down again. "Mate you need to lift your head up, not only will you be more confident but you also won't end up being ran over by a massive truck."

Felix chuckled.

"WAIT NO, I'm sorry. Please forgive me."

"You want me to... forgive you? For laughing?" A look of genuine confusion spread across the face of the boy.

"Of course I do! Showing emotion when around others is incredibly rude, you clearly never learnt that."

"Yeah... I didn't." The boy went silent for a few seconds, "Who taught you that?"

"My parents. Did yours not?" Felix spoke.

"I think your parents need to pick up a book on parenting, cause that sounds like child abuse if i'm gonna be honest with you....." The boy said, waiting for Felix to tell him his name.

"Felix and my Mother and Father would literally kill me if I said something like that." Felix voiced.

"Well, Felix, I want to be your friend. You can break your parent's rules with me, because I know it'll make you feel better. I'm Chris, by the way." The boy, now identified as Chris said, with a smile. "I'm guessing you're heading to the school?" He pointed to the approaching building that they got closer to the further up the hill they walked.
