The way you used to touch my soul,
Was always so sweet and lovely,
No matter how far apart we were,
You'd always pick up the phone,
"Mother?" Felix calmly called out, as he entered the living area of his house.
"Yes, Yongbok?" Felix's mum replied, looking up from her book she was in the middle of reading.
"May I spend time away from home after school this week? Without needing to inform you?" Felix spoke, his blank expression reflecting on his monotone deep voice.
"You may, anything to get you out." She replied, turning her gaze back to her book. "Now get to school."
Felix quickly collected his things together and left the house. He had spent the rest of his weekend trying to process what was going on his mind and was surprisingly successful in doing so, at least that's what he thought.
Felix turned the corner onto the street where he met Chris every morning. That spot where Chris stood the Saturday, two days before, was empty. 'Maybe he's just late.' Felix thought to himself, as he walked down the street alone for the first time. He made that other turn towards the bottom of the hill again. No sign of Chris and no sign of a smile on Felix's face. He headed up the hill, passing the trees and the leaves that fell from them. The only people that walked up that hill to get to the school, were Chris and Felix mostly. It seemed empty without Chris there that morning, but Felix still headed up to school.
He almost stepped into the school gates before
"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Felix yelled, as a mysterious person grabbed him by the wrist and dragged him in the opposite direction. Back down the hill and towards the street at the bottom but instead of going all the way down the street, they turned halfway. "Let me go!" Felix called out again as he was pulled into a dimly lit alley. "What are you doing?" Felix cried one last time before the person took off there glasses and hat.
"Just shut up and kiss me." He whispered, crashing his lips onto Felix's for a few moments before separating again.
"Chr-"
"Shh." His finger covered Felix's mouth in a shh-ing motion before he started dragging him further down the large alley and into the back entrance of a massive building. He took Felix up the tons of stairs until they got to a fairly familiar door. The door was quickly unlocked and Felix was dragged inside, the person locking the behind them and turning to look at Felix.
"Hi?" Chris spoke, looking slightly nervous.
"Hey." Felix replied, his wrist still wrapped in Chris' hand. He looked down at their hands, Chris slowly removed his grip from around Felix's wrist and held the younger boy's hand in his. Felix leaned in slowly, pushing Chris softly against the door. "I'm not scared to show myself around you, I'm not afraid to show you the strongest emotion I have right now." Felix whispered, centimetres between them.
"Yeah?" Chris whispered back.
"Yeah, and I think that feeling might be wrong."
"What do you mean?"
"It's a feeling that I've been taught is wrong, especially with someone like you. But I think it-" Felix hesitated, "I think it's love."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah, maybe just a little bit." Felix whispered, placing his free hand on Chris' cheek.
"A little is always something, particularly when it's so soon." Chris lifted his own free hand onto Felix's waist.
"I really liked kissing you. Even if we shouldn't do it."
"But who says we shouldn't?" Chris said, trying not to push any boundaries Felix had that Chris didn't know were there.
"My parents-"
"Shh, I know you don't like breaking their rules but I still know those rules were hurting you. On the inside." Chris spoke, stroking his thumb against Felix's hip.
"I'm starting to realise that." Felix smiled his soft, small smile, "They'd still kill me if they knew we've done this a few times though."
Their lips connected like magnets, stopping time the moment they collided. Almost like how they first met, just over a month before hand when Chris stopped Felix from falling into the road by grabbing his wrist. The kiss was soft, like they were all of a sudden in the clouds. Whilst in reality, they were on the 8th floor of an apartment building in Sydney doing something they both knew was wrong but felt oh so right.
