Please stop this pain,
If you hadn't changed, then I'd still be by your side,

After another great two weeks spending together in and out of school, a dreaded moment had finally caught up to them. Parents evening. An event that sucked for everyone but especially for those who's parents are either insanely strict assholes or literally dead. The way parents evening worked at their school made absolutely no sense too, which just added to the shitty situation. The students stayed at the school the whole afternoon and evening until their parents arrived for their time slot, then headed home with them afterwards instead of the classic go home, come back, go home method used by most schools [a/n: in England at the least].

After 2 hours of waiting, Felix was starting to get a little bit annoyed. He, unfortunately, forgot to check what time his time slot was and ended up waiting in the music classroom with Chris until they were called in when his parents arrived. Not that there was much to complain about. They were subjected to having a 'nice' conversation with their music teacher, however.

"Chan, so there is no one at all to be here for your parents evening? Not even an older sibling or an aunt? Maybe an uncle?" Chris shook his head at the music teacher's words, "Who do you live with then?"

"I live alone, Miss." Chris said, a look of slight fear spreading across her facial features.

"Surely that isn't safe? How do you pay for essentials?" She asked, appearing almost gobsmacked at his words.

"I get by just fine, my parents had a valuable house which I sold and most of the stuff in it. I bought an apartment and the remaining money has kept me going for five years now." He explained. In his head, he found himself wondering why he had to explain his entire life story to reason as to why he had no adult at parents evening.

"I see, I hope you actually are okay though. You don't get too lonely, do you?" She continued on with the questions.

"I used to be, I used to have no one but it's okay now. I've got Felix." He spoke, turning to smile at the mentioned boy sat on the table beside him and kicking his legs in a way that Chris found adorable. The duo were sat on a table, almost centre of the room, speaking across it towards their teacher who was sat at her desk at the front of the room.

"That's good," The woman checked her watch, before turning her attention back to the boys. "Now, I'm terribly sorry but I have to go do something now. Goodbye boys." She waved as she collected her things and wandered out of the room, almost closing the door completely behind her.

Felix peered over at the door to see if anyone was coming, no one was. "Finally, it's just me and you." He turned to gaze into the elder's eyes, taking his hands into his own.

"Wait." Chris suddenly pulled his hands away and rubbed them against his own upper-arms anxiously.

"What's wrong?" Felix spoke in a soft tone, lifting his hand to caress his boyfriend's cheek.

"I'm just scared we'll get caught, I don't want your parents to see us." Chris mumbled nervously, "If I'm the reason you get in trouble-"

"You won't be." Felix whispered, placing a kiss on Chris' forehead. "It's all gonna be okay, I promise."

"Felix Lee?" A teacher's voice echoed as the man stepped into the room, the sudden sound causing the boys to snap apart from eachother in fear.

"Yes?" Felix spoke, standing up abruptly after the sudden movement away from his boyfriend.

"Your parents are here, for your meetings. Please follow me, can you come as well Chan? Some teachers would just like to just speak to you as apart of parents evening." The teacher explained, guiding the boys into the main hall. "Please take a seat on the bench here for now, Chan."
