INVASION UNDERWAY! USSR DECLARES WAR!

After a longstanding agreement of tense peace, the Soviet Union has declared war. This comes after the invasion by our own troops, under the orders of the Fuhrer and our country Third Reich himself, which took place in the early hours of October 31st. A day after the initial attack, the USSR declared war on Germany, officially announcing his entrance into the Allied Powers' alliance. The Dominion of Canada, who had been the seemingly leader of the Allies following the occupation and capture of the United Kingdom in May, has yet to make a statement regarding the USSR's declaration, but is rumored to be traveling to Moscow at this very moment. When pressed on what this means for the war effort, Third Reich stated:

"Although it is upsetting that it was brought about, I whole-heartedly believe this was necessary for the protection of not just our troops, but of life as we know it. For a long while, our officials and myself have been suspicious of the Soviet Union. Not only is his ideology radically different from what we know to be correct, but he has shown little respect for our great nation. Furthermore, I was made aware months ago that he had been conspiring with the Allied Powers, undoubtedly to double-cross us and attempt to convert us to the Marxist values which he clings to. Although it hurt me to be betrayed by a friend, I knew that I had to invade him before he could destroy us. Therefore, I put my own emotions aside and did as I was required to do for the good of our perfect race.

Through hardship and despair we have persevered. We have stomped out those who were oppressing the true people of our great nation. We are finally able to prosper without their parasitic nature bringing down society. However, when one is great, there is always an enemy waiting to tear him down. Now that we are great, we face just that. We stand before the world as the Great Roman Empire once stood, proud and mighty. Unlike the great empire of Rome, we shall not fall prey to the barbarians praying for our downfall. We shall stand, we shall fight, and we shall emerge victorious. For it is meant to be, and so it shall be."

When asked about the status of the Axis Powers in general, he enthusiastically said, "Everything is going according to plan. I have good countries working with me, and with my leadership, I believe that victory will be ours within the next year or so. The Japanese Empire has done a commendable job on the Pacific front, and the European front, as most know, is almost completely under our control. Even as we face challenges, such as the USSR's disloyalty, The Kingdom of Italy's disappearance, and the United States of America's unfortunate unwell state, I know that, as always, we will overcome the adversity we face."

At the mention of the United States of America, who has not been seen since mid-July, a reporter present at the press conference asked for an update on her condition. Third Reich responded as follows, "The United State's situation is one which is sensitive enough that I feel it necessary to omit the details in order to preserve her privacy. All I will say is that, as most know, this war has been emotionally challenging for everyone. This is especially true for my ally, who was so savagely betrayed by the once great Britain. Over the past months, me and my allies have watched her slowly fall victim to her own mind due to the stress and emotional upset caused by the entire situation. After the brutal and cruel invasion of her people by the Dominion of Canada it was deemed necessary, both for her safety and that of others, for her to be institutionalized until she is once again mentally fit to"-

Japan stopped reading the paper. She had to, otherwise she might physically gag from the garbage she was reading. The German newspaper stared back at her from her desk, mocking her with the picture on the front page of Third Reich, smiling his damned smile as he fed his people a sweet concoction of pure dishonesty. He was so damn convincing that if Japan didn't know any better, she would probably believe him. But she did. She knew that the USSR had never even mentioned invading their territory. She knew that America was not off in a mental institution somewhere. She knew that Third Reich didn't give a damn about any of his supposed allies.
