Knowing chaos would soon be entering their town, the 14-year-old Gia Salvatore opted to only take classes part time at Whittemore College. She gladly spent her free time playing with her 8-year-old brother Sean and plotting with her sisters. As life went on, the sisters made sure to initiate forms of physical contact with every teenage girl they came across. It worried them that they still hadn't found Theodora. They were under the assumption that her memories had yet to be triggered and therefore hasn't come looking for them. So by shaking hands or fake tripping onto every girl, they hoped eventually they'd find and unlock her.

As Hayley Marshall entered her junior year of High school, she was very unsure about going to college. Her best friend Tori Donovan was 9 months away from a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, so she felt pressured to go to college. But after attending a prospective student tour of Whittemore College, she began thinking that higher education wasn't for her. Everyone there seemed to know exactly what they wanted to with their life, the complete opposite of her.

Bonnie and Matt were the only ones of the group placed in Alice's class during their freshman year. However, all five of them were on her roll sheet the following year. For 5 hours out of every week, she was face to face with the main cast of her previous life's favorite television show. Sadly, they were all pretty annoying. They barely paid attention in class, too focused on cheerleading and looking pretty or football and seeming macho. Elena was the only one capable of producing an essay or poem that wasn't half-assed. Her took some time to remember that they were just innocent kids with other things going on in their lives.

Matt's mother was an unfaithful wife that hit on every attractive man, disrupting her barely existent marriage. Caroline's father had left the family after lying about his sexual orientation for his entire life. Bonnie's parents were getting divorced because Abby decided it was time to teach Bonnie magic. Elena's little brother has been getting in trouble at school. Tyler's father is an abusive man with a lot of power.

Realizing these situations, Alice decided to intervene where she could. She talked to Tori who began keeping records of her mother's behavior so that her father could get a divorce and keep custody of Matt. She spelled Caroline's pencils with an anti-anxiety charm. She helped welcome Bonnie into the world of magic and reminded her of how much she is loved. She anonymously sent a package of art supplies and video lessons to the Gilbert residence addressed to Jeremy. And she made a decision about the secret of her paternity.

The straw was pulled when Tyler came to school with a black eye and finger shaped bruises on his wrist. He defensively claimed it was a football injury, but she knew better. If her brother couldn't have a happy childhood, then their father's life needed shaken up as well. She made sure to arrive when his wife was home and Tyler was away at football practice. Dressed in her nicest shirt and blouse, she knocked on the mansion's door with determination.

"Hello? How can I help you?" Carol answered the door.

"Hi. I'm not sure if you remember me, Alice McCullough?"

"Tyler's English teacher? Has he done something?"

"Yes, but Tyler is not entirely why I'm here. Is your husband home?"

"He should be home shortly. Would you like to join me in the sitting room?"

Alice nodded her head and followed her oblivious stepmother inside.

"Can I get you something to drink?"

"No thank you." Alice declined before they sat next to each on a stiff sofa.

"Well, how can I help you?"

"Well, this may seem odd, but I've been trying to learn more about my mother. She died giving birth to me and I was raised by my grandmother who wasn't aware of her pregnancy or any romantic relationship. In my research I discovered that around the time of my conception, my mother was very close to your husband. I was hoping he could shed some light on my origins."

"Oh, well of course. If he remembers that time, I don't see why he can't help you in your quest." With those words, the front door opened and in walked Richard Lockwood.

"Oh, hello. I wasn't aware we were expecting a guest."

"It's alright. I actually just dropped by hoping to speak with you. I'm Alice McCullough, Pauline McCullough's daughter."

"Pauline? Why, I haven't heard that name in decades."

"Yes. She passed away in 1986, when I was born." Richard's eyes widened at this news.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't aware she'd passed. I'd assumed she just moved away."

"Yes, well. Seeing as you remember her, I was hoping you might know who my father is."

He seemed to be lost in thought for a minute before replying, "When did you say you were born?"

"June 1986. So I would've been conceived around October 1985."

Richard's body was frozen at this knowledge, but his eyes searched her face and presumably found what they were looking for as his mouth fell open in astonishment.

"Your- You're mine," he stumbled out.

"What?!" Carol shouted in shocked rage.

He glanced between his wife and daughter. "I met Pauline when I was a freshman in college. We dated for the first semester, but then she stopped showing up to classes. She didn't have a cell phone and her roommate refused to tell me what happened. I was so confused about her disappearance, that I didn't date for a whole year until I met Carol. I don't know where you get that height from, but you have my eyes and chin." He seems so human in this moment that Alice wonders how he's capable of harming his son.

"Okay, Richard, slow down. Let's get a paternity test before this goes any further." Carol scolded her husband.

"Um, yes. Of course. I'll call my lawyer right away." He agreed.
-------
A week later paternity was confirmed and Richard was so distracted getting to know his daughter that not once did he touch Tyler. As Christmas approached, they decided to inform Tyler of this discovery. He was very weirded out that his teacher was his secret older sister. After tracking down Lucia, for the rest of winter break she bonded with her little brother who became friends with Hayley, his adoptive older niece.

After the break ended and the next full moon approached, Alice decided it was time to tell Tyler about their curse. She explained that their father's rage worsened around the full moon because of this curse, making him prone to violence. The bracelets she gifted them for Christmas should be worn especially during this time as it helps calm them. So that he would believe her, with Hayleys permission he watched her turn. Not wanting to keep a vital secret, she revealed her status as a witch. However, to protect the Bennets' identity, she claimed her powers came from her maternal grandfather.

With four and a half months to go until the Gilbert's car crash, Elena, Jeremy, Caroline, and Matt were the only ones still left in the dark about the supernatural world.
