Hi readers. Sorry, I've been stuck with writer's block for the Saving Enzo chapter. So I think it's best if I just skip over it for now and get back to it later. It shouldn't interfer with the plot. I'll let you know when I post the official chapter, but for now, here's a synopsis for what I'm going to write:
Alice has the brothers bring leather gloves to prevent contact with vervain. She tells Damon to not mention that he killed Maggie. Damon has already been invited inside and Alice doesn't own the property, so Stefan has to stay outside as the lookout.
Alice uses a sleeping spell from the grimoire and puts all humans inside to sleep. To convince Enzo to forgive Damon, she allows him to enter her mind and see her memories of him and Enzo being friends. She also shows him images of Lily that inform him she didn't leave him by choice and is Damon's mother. She also lies and tells him that she is sorry, but Maggie has died after getting Alzheimer's. That way he can move on with his life.
Alice allows them to kill all of the sleeping humans, so that they may never torture another vampire again. She rationalizes this by recalling they were meant to die anyways.
She tells them to find Wes Maxfield and kill him. That way the then 3 year old Aaron Whittemore can be adopted by a family that won't pressure him to hate vampires.
After the rescue, she asks for 2 favors.
1. Don't return to Mystic Falls until May 2009.
2. Ask Charlotte to turn off her humanity and bring her to a vampire named Marcel so that she may find a new purpose in life.
