The other five turned to see Paul stood in the doorway. What followed was what could only be described as a small melee as they all rushed to hug him in greeting. As they each pulled away, it seemed that Hannah, who was stood furthest away from the doorway, had somehow managed to wheedle her way through the rest of the band and into Paul's arms.
"Missed you, Titch." Paul grinned, squeezing tight before ending the hug. "Hope you haven't been planning any pranks without me!"
"Couldn't pull 'em off without you Gwacks!" Hannah grinned back. "By the way, did you get the text I sent?"
"Yeah, they're in a bag, in my bag." Paul grimaced.
"What did you forget this time, Han?" Jo asked, from her position on one of the dining chairs.
"Ummmm, only my underwear." Hannah blushed.
"Waaaiiit, a second." Bradley intervened. "Are you saying that you had Paul here go through your underwear? Now, I know you two are good friends and all, but I didn't realise your friendship was that weird."
"Well, I didn't have to go through it, exactly." Paul blushed, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.
"I didn't technically forget them, I just didn't leave enough time for them to dry after I washed them, so I sent him a text telling him to let himself in and grab them off the drying rack."
"You two are weird." Jo announced, going back to flicking through a magazine.
"Right, now you two have re-established you best buddy bond, and we've all been suitably disgusted, do you think we can go find something to watch?" Jon teased.
"You guys go get started, I need to go find somewhere to sleep tonight." Paul smiled.
"Oh yeah, um, about the rooms. Sorry." Bradley winced.
"Why are you apologising?" Paul asked, worried. "What's wrong with my room?"
"There's nothing wrong with it." Hannah soothed, encouraging Paul to leave the room. "I'll show you to it now, and then you can give me my stuff."
