Later on that evening, with everyone having finally settled on a channel to watch, the band were spread out around the room. Rachel and Jo were sharing one settee, Tina and Jon were sharing another, and Bradley was slouched in a beanbag, whilst Hannah was lying down on the last settee, with Paul on the floor leaning against it.

Pretty soon it got late. Jo and Rachel were the first to head to bed, followed quickly by Bradley.

"Hey, Paul." Jon whispered, getting his band-mates attention, "I think we may leave you to wake the slumbering beast."

With that, Tina and Jon hurried out of the room, cackling at Paul's dilemma, whilst the man in question turned to see Hannah fast asleep on the settee.

To anyone else, this would present a challenge. Hannah was notoriously angry if woken against her will. But Paul knew the secret.

Gently he placed his hand over the blonde's eyes before softly, repeatedly calling her name.

"Paul?" Hannah mumbled, and Paul leaned in to place a soft, fleeting kiss against Hannah's forehead.

"Yeah, just me. Everyone else has gone to bed. Tina and Jon thought it would be funny to leave me to wake you up on my own. I'm going to move my hand now, ready?"

Hannah nodded and slowly opened her eyes as Paul's hand moved away.

"Good thing you know the trick to stop me waking up grumpy, then."

"Yup, and I'll never tell. They'll just have to work it out for themselves, just like I did." Paul grinned.

"Alright, smartarse. Now give me a hand up so we can go to bed!"

Paul reached down and gave Hannah a helping hand before guiding her gently out of the room, turning everything off as they went. They reached the door that revealed their stairs and slowly made their way up.

"You know what, Han? I think they were right, these stairs are a bit creepy."

"Did you really have to say that when I'm about to go to bed?!"

When they reached the top of the stairs, the pair hugged, saying their goodnights, and went their separate ways.
