"Oh good, you're back. You can decide." Rachel grinned. "We couldn't agree on what to watch, so we've decided to play a game. But now we can't decide between Trivial Pursuit and Articulate. Your choice."
"Can... Can we have a quick conference?" Paul asked, gesturing between himself and Hannah, before turning her around with an arm on her shoulders.
Two minutes later, they turned back.
"Right, we've come to a decision," Paul declared, in his best authoritative tone, "and we've decided on Articulate."
The rest of the band began to agree, talking loudly over each other about teams and getting the board out, before Paul interrupted.
"However, we'll only play if you let us play as a team."
"You're on, mate!" Jo agreed. "You two talk so much gibberish I can't see you being much of a threat."
Paul and Hannah looked at each other and grinned.
It soon turned out that talking gibberish was a massive advantage to Hannah and Paul. Whilst the others were still languishing in the first quarter of the board, Hannah and Paul found themselves just a couple of questions away from victory.
"Okay, maybe I was wrong." Jo admitted.
"Yeah," Jon sulked, "You may talk gibberish, but you spend so long talking gibberish to each other that you understand it all. How on earth did you get elephant from him saying sausages?!"
Paul and Hannah just grinned evilly. Two rounds later and they were dancing around the living room, taunting the others with their victory.
"Ah, man!" Bradley sighed. "We are never playing that ever again!"
