A Situation pt.3 (Age 20)
The whole Bridgerton clan was there by time Violet, Eloise and Daemerys arrived. Once Daemerys walked in the Queen instantly stood up to greet her.
"Are you preparing to the heir for the throne?" The Queen asked. "Or are you already with an heir?" She asked. "I do not think, I am with child your majesty." Daemerys said chuckling. "Are you sure?" The Queen asked smirking. "Between you and me you have that pregnancy glow." The Queen whispered. "Your majesty." Daphne said bowing down next to Simon.
To say there was tension was an understatement, Simon didn't look at her while she moved her head to the side to not look at him. Clearly they both hadn't talked or acknowledge each other since the wedding.
"Are you two not to greet each other?" The Queen asked bluntly. "Daemerys." He greeted. "Hastings." She greeted back. "Alright let's get you to away from each other." Daphne suggested. "It's fine Daphne, after all. I have nothing to apologize for." Daemerys stated. "Well mama doesn't want me interacting with you so excuse me." Daemerys said walking away.
"What was that?" Lady Danbury asked pulling her aside. "Nothing Lady Danbury, just a little fun." Daemerys said smiling. "I've known you your whole life Daemerys, and never once would you have done that. What happened?" Lady Danbury asked. "I do not think that is any concern of yours, Lady Danbury." Daemerys said. "Anything else?" She asked. "I'll find out Daemerys." Lady Danbury stated. "And I'm sure you will, excuse me." Daemerys said walking away.
Not soon after they pretended nothing had happened. It wasn't healthy, but it was something. They got back to conversating, everything was going well till the Featheringtons walked into the luncheon. Everybody was staring to them, looking down on them. What didn't help was that Lady Featherington walked up to Violet as Daemerys come their way, putting an arm on Violet for comfort.
"My dear Lady Bridgerton." Lady Featherington said softly touching her arm. "Is this not a dreadful circumstance, for us to have been so duped by that scheming hussy?" Lady Featherington said. "The only hussy is you and your children, besides Penelope." Daemerys said glaring at the two girls behind her. "To think that Miss Thompson would take advantage of my kindness, after I open my home to her." Lady Featherington said as Violet turned her head to the side, not wanting to listen. "You must believe, I had no idea of-" Lady Featherington said as Violet walked away without a word. "Lady Featherington, I must ask you go leave." Brimsley said. "But I have an invitation." Lady Featherington said to the short man. "Not anymore. I am sure you wish to avoid any further unpleasantness." He suggested as Lady Featherington and her children turned away. "Not you Lady Penelope." Brimsley said as the girl turned around. "Since the princess is rather fond of you, you may stay." Brimsley said winking to Daemerys. "Is that true?" Penelope asked. "Yes, I know you didn't have a part in that so it's rather unfair for the child to be on the end of a parents punishment. So please, stay." She said smiling as the girl nodded. "Thank you, your grace." Penelope said bowing down. "You're welcome." Daemerys said walking away to find Violet.
