(I'm sorry it's been so long! I don't think I will have time for the regular post every 1-2 days I was doing before, as I have been swarmed with college work, and we have a new project coming up. However, I will try to update much as possible!

This is my favourite chapter by FAR!!! I'm so proud of this one!)

"Alfie, I'm going in. The plan is a go. You, Barb and Jimbo ready?" Jack spoke into his phone, walking towards the building he knew they were all being kept in. Despite being wracked with nerves, he felt...okay. He felt like he could do this.

"Yes, Master Jack. Remember, half an hour. That is your time restraint. There's no wiggle room with this"

"I know, Al. I know"

"And Jack?" The butlers voice now held a different tone, one that made Jack's brow cock with confusion. "Yeah?"

"Make Harvey Dent pay"

Silence befell Jack for a moment. "...I will, Alfie. I'm here now. Start the half an hour timer in ten seconds."

"Okay, Master Jack. Be careful. I believe in you. We all do"

"My redemption arch, remember?" Jack smirked to himself. "Yes, it is"

With that, Jack hung up. At the doorway to the place, he was met with an unnecessary amount of 'guards', so to speak. One of them being Axel. It made him crease slightly, to see his face again. "So, good chums! We meet again"

"Shut up, belongings in here" Axel spoke. Jack placed everything he was holding in that box, sighing to himself to further the act of not giving them away 'willingly'. But that didn't seem like enough. That was fine, though. Jack didn't expect them to trust him.

After being pat-down and triple checked he held nothing else, he was led inside. His breath caught in his throat, walking down the slender aisles. This was it. This was the last battle, the last stand-off. This was were everything went wrong, or things finally began to go right.

And then, he was brought into that room everyone was being held in, and that worry vanished. Instead, replaced with anger, as he saw the bodies of those he loved hanging there, tortured at the hands of Harvey Dent.

Harley looked so wrecked, her features twisted with discomfort as she slept. Dick had bruises littering his face and body. His eyes had filled with recognition the moment they landed on Jack. He looked so tired, so small. Like a little boy who had been through the worst. Tim was okay. He looked so,so pale. He didn't seem lucid, but he was okay.

And then his eyes landed on Bruce and Edward, and he felt like he could murder everyone in this room with his bare hands. It seems they had managed to shed the Batsuit off of him, but the cowl? That was still on. Bruce laid limp, naked and littered with bruises and wounds. He looked, so...so out of it. His eyes barely focused on Jack, but once they had, his pupils grew larger, lip quivering with something to say but too drugged up to say it. It made Jack's heart swell.

And Eddy. Oh, Eddy...he really did look at deaths door. It was bad enough seeing it in a photo, but in person? He looked almost green. The blood on his shirt had faded to such an ugly red, and he could practically see the infection growing inside of the wound. The multiple wounds and gashes that littered his skin, all open and also prone to being infected. He already looked dead, if Jack was being honest. It was only the small and subtle rise and fall of his chest that proved otherwise.

"Jack" Harvey had called out to him, voice sickeningly sweet and so full of twisted affection it made him want to be sick. "You did this...to them" Jack had spoke, besides his better judgement.

"I did"

"And all of it...all of this. Just to get to me. Just to get a few silly little weapons at taking down the bat."
