Jack huffed out, kicking out towards Bruce. He grunted as he caught his leg, using that small momentum to propel himself into him using both feet. He giggled as Bruce was floored, before quickly helping him up.

"Does it feel weird, my love? Fighting without all of your fancy gizmo's?" Jack asked, placing a small apology kiss against the mans temple. "A little, yes. But you're getting better, Jack. You'll be ready in no time" Bruce smiled, just as Alfred came down into the Batcave, tray in hand.

"How is your training going, Master Jack?" Said man asked, as he placed the small tray down, revealing the tea he had made for them. "Great! Brucie is a cute little punching bag!"

"Need I remind you, how many times I floored you as well?" Bruce mused, as he grabbed his own cup. Jack grinned, as he responded. "I actually remember counting 4-6. Sooooo, I still win"

Alfred smiled at the duo, before a small sigh escaped him. "Master Jack, Miss Quinn is upstairs waiting for you. Whatever may be on her mind, she seems impatient"

Jack frowned, worried something might be wrong. "I'll be up now, Al"

Jack wasn't sure what he expected from Harley, but it wasn't this. He hadn't seen her dressed like this in...in, well, years.

Her hair was pulled up into a bun, the dyed ends of her hair hidden in between the locks. Besides her black-painted lashes, she adorned no make-up. She wore a simple pink turtleneck and pale blue jean combo, black heels he recognized all too well. "Harls, you...you look good"

"Thanks, Pud'!" She smiled, as she brought him into a hug. He held her back briefly, before they both pulled away. "How's ya training going?" She asked.

"Good! Good! It's fun! How's you and Ivy?"

"Good, too. Listen, uhh...." She hesitated, and Jack prepared himself for the worst. "I-I contacted Doctor Bailey. She's going to....rehabilitate me too"

Jack was silent for a moment, before stuttering out. "You...you serious?"

"Never been more serious, Pud'. We've always been a duo. I don't mind giving up the villain days, if it means I get to fight by your side. You'll always be my best friend, and I'll always fight for you. Even if that's on a different side, this time"

Jack grinned, holding her hand's close to him. "You wanna fight with me?"

"Duh! I missed this, I missed us. Joker and Harley Quinn, or Jack Napier and Harleen Quinzel, you'll always have me!"

Jack squealed, bringing her close. God, he loved her. This gorgeous woman deserved the world, and he was pretty fucking willing to give it all to her. "I can't believe it, Harls. This is great!"

Harley laughed, twirling them slowly in a movement that only felt natural between them. "I'm glad ya think so! My first session with her is tomorrow"

"I need all of the details, okay? From every milestone to every last word!" Jack smiled, as she placed a small kiss atop his forehead. "Will do, hun"

A month later, and Jack was staring at himself within the mirror. "You look great, Jack. I know you'll do well" Bruce spoke from behind him, wrapping arms around his waist as they both gazed into the same reflection.

His clown make-up was less grotesque, less bold and less startling. Simple blue tear shapes underneath the eyes, a gentle and small red dot atop his nose. Lashes painted black, and lips painted a softer pinkish-red. He didn't spread it out against his cheeks, more complimented the sides with small dots. A typical clown-ish look, yet he couldn't help but feel weird looking at it.
