(So...hey there lmao. It's been "a few" months, and I'm sorry to have left this at the time it needed an update the most. Long story short, Uni has left me busy, along with other things on top of that. I hope to begin updating a little more regularly, but definitely not as much as I had been before.

But I want to thank everyone for sticking around for the fifty, messy chapters this book contains! The lovely comments, kudos and likes, getting support on both wattpad and ao3 has been amazing. Thank you so much for all of your reads, and I hope you'll support me on my other books.

CW; Smut, tooth rotting fluff, and a damn good happy ending)

*ONE YEAR LATER*

"You really gonna let that stupid clown ruin it all!?"

Jack attempted to remain inconspicuous, as he watched Harley and Dick sneak behind. "No, no, of course not, Mr. Scarface, sir!" Arnold Wesker scrambled, and he could only watch with sympathy as Scarface and The Ventriloquist began to argue between themselves. Or...more so himself.

"So hurry up and get the fucking idiot!"

Jack was quick to dodge out of the way, as both Arnold and Scarface began shooting in his direction. He made sure to stay in the same vicinity however, to give his two sidekicks their chance. And once he saw their opening, he yelled out a quick "Now!".

He was quick to throw a batterang to stun Wesker, providing Harley and Dick just enough time to disarm the criminal of both his weapons and that stupid puppet. It really gave Jack the creeps.

"Did it once again, Pud'!" Harley beamed, as the three of them escaped the scene after alerting Gordon of the planned arrest. "It's the end of the night, too. Meaning some well-needed rest" Dick chimed in. Jack could only laugh at their enthusiasm of climbing under the covers and getting some sleep. Honestly, that wasn't a terrible idea.

They'd made it back to the Batcave an hour later, with Bruce and Alfred awaiting their arrival. "Brucie!" Jack was quick to run over, pulling his husband into a giant hug and small peck. Bruce was quick to return the sentiment.

"I suppose you'll all be wanting some rest, so breakfast is already prepared upstairs for you all" Alfred announced, both Dick and Harley clambering up the stairs for food. Jack felt warm as he watched them getting along. It had taken a while for Harley to feel settled within the family, but she fit in just as well as he did.

"Thank you, Al" Jack smiled, before turning to Bruce. "I can't wait for today, my love. I've got so much planned!"

"As Alfred has told me" Bruce chuckled, pulling Jack closer. They both leaned into eachother happily. "I hope you haven't gone too overboard"

Jack gasped, dramatically feigning being hurt by those words, although he couldn't hold back his smile. "It's our anniversary, Brucie! Our first one, at that. Of course I went overboard!"

"Considering your busy night, let's start with that breakfast first" Bruce proposed, and Jack was happy with that idea, considering it pertained to his plans for the day. "I'll meet you up there, I just need to do something quickly first"

His husband looked like he wanted to ask, but from the stern look from both Jack and Alfred, he trotted himself up the stairs. The moment those raven locks turned the corner, Jack couldn't contain how giddy he was. "Is it all prepared, Alfie?"

"Yes, Jack. The car will be ready to take you both in three hours. That should be more than enough time for you to rest and get ready, yes?" Alfred confirms, and Jack had to giggle. Yes, rest. If only Alfie knew. "Better make it four, just in case" Jack smiles, before giving the butler a giant hug. "You're the best, Alfie. I'll see you later!"
