Eleven

Ever since Gyuvin had left, the house had been so quiet. It's as if Zhang Hao was living there alone. Jiwoong had been locked in his room all day and Taerae and Yujin had been out working on their missions.

Zhang Hao had just met the four of them a few days ago, but for some reason it feels like he's known them for a long time. For that reason, Gyuvin being gone has upset him more than he thought it would.

But thankfully, Taerae said it'll only take a day or two for him to come back. The sad part is he won't remember anyone, but it's not like Zhang Hao knew him too well yet. They can just start all over again and become friends.

But now he has to go to school. Hopefully Gyuvin will be back by the time he's back.

Zhang Hao changes into his uniform and makes sure to pick up Hanbin's destiny book before walking out of his room.

"Oh, hey. You're out of your room." Zhang Hao tells Jiwoong when he sees him outside. "Are you okay?"

It takes a few seconds for Jiwoong to answer, but he finally looks up at him after a while. "I'll be okay." He nods. "Right now, I'm really upset over this, but I'll be fine after a few days."

"Are you sure?" Zhang Hao asks him. He can see the sadness in Jiwoong's eyes.

"He just... knew everything about me and now he won't even remember my name." Jiwoong sighs. "I had already experienced this once... the first time this happened to him. And now we were finally caught up and were as close as we used to be before then... but now I have to treat him like he's a stranger all over again."

"I'm so sorry about that." Zhang Hao frowns. He can't imagine how hard it must be for him. "Do you think he'll be back by the time I get home from school?"

"Yeah, probably. But focus on your mission, alright? You're still a newbie, so don't worry about anything else."

"Okay, I'll get going then." Zhang Hao walks away from him. Before he can get far, he remembers he didn't bring his backpack. "I wonder how old I was before I died. I doubt I was still in school though." He mumbles before going back in to get his backpack.

But before he can get to his room, he hears Jiwoong and Taerae talking. He knows eavesdropping is wrong, but he feels like they're hiding something from him. He needs to know.

"Why does this keep happening to us, Taerae?" Jiwoong cries. "Why do we have to see our friends disappearing like that and forgetting about us?" He hugs Taerae as Taerae rubs his back and tries calming him down.

'What? I thought Taerae was new here and had never experienced a friend disappearing... so Gyuvin hasn't been the only one this has happened to?'

'Others have disappeared too?' Zhang Hao thinks to himself.
