Jen's POV
"So what happens now?" Lux asks as her head rests on my shoulder.
"While you move in with her I'll hire the best team of lawyers to fight back for custody. Though, while you're under Abby's custody I can still see you but just not everyday." I inform her of everything I know.
"This sucks." She replies and breaths out.
"I know Lux, I know. We should get going back to the apartment." I say as a begin to stand up.

Lux's POV
Once we arrive at the apartment I see Abby nervously pacing back and fourth.
When she turns to face us a look of relief falls on her face as she rushes towards me. She attempts to pull me into a hug but before she can I take a step backwards.
This small action causes Abby's face to fall back down.
"How did you find her?" She asks as she places both hands on my shoulder. I let her do this.
"I showed her this beach when we first arrived and she took a keen interest in it." Jen replies as she tries her best to put on a fake smile.
"At first, I thought she would be with Jared but when I called him he didn't know either." Jen continues.
"Jared." I say as I hit a moment of realization.
Oh no, he's probably worried sick about me.
I quickly shake off Abby's hands and reach into my pocket to turn my phone on again.
Damn it, why did I have to turn off my phone. He probably tried to call and text me.
"Who's Jared?" Abby asks in confusion.
"He's my boyfriend and he's probably worried sick." I reply as I impatiently wait for my phone to turn on.
Wait did I just call Jared my boyfriend? Is he even my boyfriend?
While I zone off to think about this I hear a chain of text tones coming from my phone.
I quickly get up and bring my phone to my room and close the door.
I dial his phone number and wait until he picks up.
"Lux?! Are you okay?" I hear his worried voice come through the phone.
"Physically yes, emotionally not so sure." I answer truthfully.
"What happened?"
"It's a pretty long story."
"For you, I have all the time in the world."
I smile at his remark and continue to share the full story with him.
"Oh my god Lux. So what happens next?" He asks after I finish.
"Lux! We kinda need you here right now kiddo." I hear Jen calling from the living room
"I have to move in with Abby I guess." I answer in defeat.
"Jared I'm so sorry I have to go, Jen's calling me."
"Okay but text me later okay? I want to make sure everything's okay with you." He says with sincerity in his voice.
"I will, bye."
"Bye Lux."
I hang up the phone and I quickly walk back into the living room.
I find the seat next to Jen and sit down.
"So now that Abby has won the custody of Lux, she is expected to live with her." The social worker informs us.
"I figured as much, how soon do I have to move?" I ask.
"Lux will have to be packed and ready to move in with Abby by this Monday and no later."
"Hold on a second Monday? But tomorrow is Monday." Jen says.
"I'm sorry for the inconvenience Ms. Morrison but either Lux is at Abby's door tomorrow morning or I will have to suspend you from visiting Lux during the week. Am I making myself clear." The social worker says in a stern tone.
"Very. I'll be there tomorrow." I answer pointedly.
----------
That night Jen and I start to pack up all my belongings. Though this doesn't take long due to my lack of clothes in Vancouver.
"Mom, I don't want to say goodbye to you, to the cast, to our life together. This just sucks so damn much." I say in frustration as I throw clothes onto my bed."
"I know Kid, but I promise things will work out."
"How can you be so sure?! Everything could go wrong and I would have to stay with Abby until I'm 18!" I practically yell at her.
After my breakdown there is a moment of silence.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell, but I just hate the idea of not seeing you everyday."
"We're basically done packing so we could just watch Netflix until we fall asleep again?" She offers.
"Yeah okay." I respond as I follow her into the living room.
----------
That next morning was the worst.
Jen and I woke up late due to our previous night. I had to be there by 11am.
10:26
"Mom! C'mon we have to get to Abby's house by 11!"
"Okay coming, coming."
We both quickly load the car and file in and speed off until we reach Abby's house.
"Okay kiddo lets do this." Jen says with fake enthusiasm.
We both carry my things to the front door.
Before either of us ring the bell I place the belongings on the ground and pull Jen into a tight hug.
"I'm going to miss you so much Mom. You have no idea."
"I will call and text you everyday, you won't even know I'm not there." She reassures me as she smooths my hair with her hand.
"Okay let's do this." I say as I let go of Jen.
I lean into the door and press the doorbell.
*ding dong*
After a few moments Abby opens the door.
"Lux come in, come in!"
