Meeting the Cast

Lux's POV

After I finish flipping the last pancake I head over to the table and prepare to set it.

The table is a small round wooden table that is just the perfect size for Jen and I.

After I put all the plates, utensils, and food on the table I call out to Jen who is on the phone in the living room.

"Jen the tables set!" I shout to her.

"Coming, one second!" She says in reply as she puts down her phone and heads to the table.

"Wow! The table looks amazing thank you for setting it!" She tells me as we both sit down.

"Okay let's talk less about the food and actually eat it, I'm so hungry!" I say.

I'm not use to all this food to myself. I usually have to share with 10 other kids.

"I agree! Let's dig in!" She says already starting to eat the food.

Just as I finish my food I see Jen perk up in realization.

"What's up?" I say with curiosity.

"Shoot, I just remembered that I have a meeting with all of the cast and the creators of the show Adam and Eddie." She say with a sigh.

"I'll just cancel so that I can hang out with you!" She tells me as she reaches for her phone.

Before she can call I stop her.

"It's okay if you go! Maybe I can come with you and meet the cast." I offer.

"That's a great idea! After the meeting we can go to the mall and get you some new clothes." She says with excitement.

"Sounds like a plan!" I say.

"Okay the meetings in an hour so go get ready now!" She informs me.

"Okay! I'll be ready in a few minutes!" I say as I head to my new bedroom.

Needless to say it's taking me more than a few minutes to get ready.

I want to look less nice when I meet the cast.

I settle on a white T-shirt with high waisted jean shorts. I only have two pairs of shoes, black converse and black combat boot.

I decide on the combat boots and take a look in the mirror.

As I see my outfit in the mirror I feel like there's something missing.

I look in my luggage and pull out a crumpled flannel shirt and wrap it around my waist.

After I finish tying the flannel I quickly put my hair up into I high ponytail.

I look around my room for the small amount of makeup that I do have.

I only have a small tube of mascara that my previous foster mom gave me.

I quickly ran the mascara through my eyelashes and carefully put on my mom's necklace.

The necklace is so old that the chains are starting to fall apart, but I refuse to get rid of it. If I did I would feel like I'm getting rid of her.

I take a deep breath and look at myself in the mirror.

As I fix the loose pieces of hair into my ponytail I hear Jen yell from the other room.

"Lux hurry up! We're going to be late!"

"Okay coming!" I say nervously as I rush out my bedroom.

I run out of the house and meet Jen in the car.

"You ready to meet the cast?" She says as she starts to drive out of the driveway.

"Somewhat." I reply honestly.

As we turn into the ABC studios I can feel myself getting nervous.

Okay Lux you have nothing to worry about its only a few people that are probably really nice!

I start to calm down after Jen parks the car in front of a building with the 'Once Upon a Time' logo on the front.

"Wow we must be really late!" I say to Jen after noticing all the cars already in front of the building.

"Or everyone else is just early." She says sarcastically.

"Ha ha very funny." I say with sarcasm as I playfully push her.

"Ow that hurt!" She says in a fake hurt voice.

"I'm sure it did!" I say while chuckling.

"Let's head in." She says while getting out of the car.

As we enter the building I see everybody's head turn to face us.

"Hey everybody!" Jen says while waving to a few people.

I see the man that plays Hook come up to us.

"Hey Jen! And who is this?" I hear 'Hook' ask.

"Everybody! This is Lux the girl that I told you I was adopting!" Jen announces to the people that are in the room.

After she says this I get a few people that I don't recognize from the show come up to me and say hello.

"Okay everybody! Let's get this meeting started!" I hear someone who I presume is either Adam or Eddie say.

"Lux, why don't you sit at the table with us and you can just listen to the meeting?" Jen offers.

"Sure!" I say while taking a seat next to Jen.

As I look across the table I see the boy who plays Henry staring at me.

Once he realizes that I caught him he quickly puts his head down in embarrassment.

I chuckle to myself quietly when he does this.

Though this Henry isn't the 10 year old boy that I remember.

This 'Henry' looks around my age and is kinda cute.

After the meeting Jen starts to introduce me to all the cast members if the show.

"Lux this is Emilie and Lana!" Jen says introducing them.

They both greet me with 'hellos' and a short hug, which caught me by surprise.

"It's great to meet both of you!" I say politely to both of them.

Jen then proceeds to introduce me to Ginnifer, Josh, Colin, Robert, Adam and Eddie.

Then lastly she introduces me to 'Henry'.

"Jared this is Lux, Lux this is Jared!" She say introducing us.

I politely smile at him while Jen heads off to go talk to Lana.

Where she leaves me alone with Jared.

Ohhhhhhh Lux and Jared! Does anyone ship it?

I know that Jared is 14 in real life but for the sake of the fic I made him 16 the same age as Lux.

I just want to than you guys for the insane amount of support you have given this fic! Ily so much 😘
