Lux's POV

When I slip away, I try and put as much distance between the two of us.

I quickly take out my ear buds and put them in my ears and begin to start to blare my music.

'Good friend'

Was that all I was to him? A good friend?

Too angry to even think straight I just started to walk absent mindedly. I had somehow ended up on a bench, with my hood up. I really didn't want to be recognize by any of Jen's fans.

I continue to stare blankly at the street in front of me watching the cars slowly passing. Then suddenly, I a feel a tap on my shoulder.

I jump up, surprised when I see who it is. Though my mood is instantly lifted when I regonize the person.

Colin.

"Hey, lass." Hey greets taking a seat next to me.

I rip my ear buds out, so I don't appear rude when I speak to him.

"Hi Colin." I reply, trying my best to put on a fake smile.

I really liked Colin. He was very nice to me. Whenever my Mom or Jared were filming he would always make it a point to talk to me. Over the past few weeks, we had goten pretty close, more so than the other cast members.

"I haven't seen you in a while Lux. How are things going?" He asks me sincerely. Before answering, I bring up my legs onto the bench so that my legs are sat criss crossed.

"Jen's doing great, health wise she's almost bac-" I begin, but he is quick to stop me.

"Not what I meant. I asked about you. How are you doing?" He asks with a small smirk.

"I'm okay, I guess." I respond meekly.

"What's bothering you?"

"It's nothing, it's probably stupid." I answer him, downplaying what had just occurred.

"I'm sure its not nothing. C'mon, I've been told I'm a very good listener." He responses as he playfully nudges my shoulder. Colin reminded me a lot like my dad. My dad was one of the best listeners I've ever met. He would always listen to me rant about everything for hours.

"Well, I think I just got friend zoned by Jared. Which would be fine, if it was anybody else other than Jared. I was really starting to fall for him." I finally confess truthfully.

"Boys are just stupid a lot of times, trust me I would know, I am one." He starts, I let out a small smile at his remark.

"But, I see the way that Jared looks at you. He looks at you like you're the only thing that he sees. Like the rest of the world could come to an end, but he'd be okay, because he had you. But, sometimes guys do stupid stuff without knowing what they're actually doing."

"But I think you're a pretty cool lass so if Jared doesn't treasure you, then its his lost." He finally ends.

Yup, just like my dad. Both having a special way with words.

"Thanks Colin, I really needed that." I thank him as I reach over and pull him into a small hug.

"Not a problem lass."

"Could Colin please come to the docs asap?" I hear his walkie talkie go off.

"That's my cue. You'll be okay by yourself?" He asks standing up.

"Yeah, I should be."

He gives one last wave and smile before walking towards the docs. Almost as soon as he walks away, my phone begins to ring. As soon as I hear the Doctor Who theme playing, I knew who was trying to call.
