Turns out Ayan isn't so lucky to talk to Ray. He dines alone that night, like almost always, and he would like to have a little more company from his brother.

He's mad at Ray for going to his school that day, but maybe Ray had a reason and Ayan still wants to believe that. Maybe Ray wasn't feeling well and he wanted to clear his mind a little. Ayan no longer knows how Ray is doing in Parot. Before, Ray didn't have many friends either, just a few guys he hung out with from time to time and Ayan isn't one to judge, but they didn't look like good company. He doesn't know if they're still hanging out with Ray.

Ray is now alone in Parot and although he tried to search for answers as to why Ray didn't want to go to Suppalo, he found none. Maybe his brother just wanted to get him off his back to do whatever he wants, without having Ayan controlling him.

Ray didn't go to Suppalo with bad intentions and no one besides Akk found out. Ayan already has enough problems with Akk, now he has to add another one to the list, but he can deal with the prefect.

Lying in bed and staring at the ceiling in complete darkness, Ayan thinks about Ray and the fact that he barely understands his brother anymore. Why did Ray decide to stay alone in Parot, when they always did everything together? Maybe Ray was offended that Ayan made the decision overnight, Ray found out when his mother asked him if he was going to change too. Ayan still remembers the disturbed and somewhat horrified expression on Ray's face before said no. Was the idea of switching to Suppalo that bad for Ray or was he just disappointed that Ayan wanted to leave without talking about it before?

Sometimes, he misses the days where his only concern was staying awake a little longer so he could finish listening to Uncle Dika's story. When they went to the beach and made sand castles all together. When they were still a united and happy family, not the broken mess they are now.

Ayan covers his face with the pillow and muffles a scream.

Akk is going to scold him a lot tomorrow...

During the morning of the next day, Ray does not leave his room and the door is still closed, but Ayan made sure that his brother was okay before getting ready for school.

Yawning, Ayan finishes fixing his hair in front of the bathroom mirror and tries with all his might not to fall asleep standing up. Almost failed.

"Ray, I'm leaving!" Ayan shouts from the stairs.

His brother doesn't respond, of course. Ayan picks up his backpack and leaves his house.

"It's going to be a tough day today..." Ayan sighs, resting his head against the steering wheel of the car.

It doesn't take too long to get to school and the traffic is quite pleasant that morning.

Along the way, Ayan tries to find a way to explain yesterday's situation with Ray to Akk, but he has no convincing excuses, not even he knows why Ray did it and worrying about his exam was a lie. Ayan still doesn't understand why Ray is so lazy in school, when he is very intelligent, yesterday's chemistry test with the highest grade is a perfect example of what his brother is capable of.

Ayan doesn't know why he's looking for Akk, especially since he knows they're going to fight as soon as he sees him, but he needs to explain the situation to the prefect. Ayan doesn't want Akk to think he's making fun of him or something. Besides, he needed to know exactly what things Ray did.

It's not that difficult to find the prefect. Akk was standing by the vending machine and Ayan comes from behind.

"Did you miss me a lot?" Ayan whispers against Akk's ear that he was bending over to grab the drink from the vending machine.
