"Stop that," Ghost muttered.

Her brows furrowed, turning to look at him in the passenger seat. "Stop what?"

"You keep announcing under your breath every time you see a goat. Or cow. Or sheep."

"Oh shit," she chuckled, "was I actually?"

"Yes," he bit. "Every time."

"It's exciting," she excused.

"It's a sheep. It's not that exciting."

"You know, if you let yourself enjoy the little things you might not be such a curmudgeon," she retorted boredly.

"Focus on the job, not the animals."

"I can multitask."

"Well don't."

"Jesus, did you not get enough sleep last night?"

He kept his eyes forward. "I slept fine."

"Then why are you so pissy?" she prodded.

"I'm not pissy."

She waved a hand, "Of course, I forgot, this is your usual attitude."

"It is. Get used to it."

"Then you'd better get used to me talking about the animals, cause I'm not going to change my behaviour to suit you if you're not going to stop acting like a sleep-deprived toddler."

He remained silent, but she noticed how his head shook slightly in disagreement.

But she didn't push them further into the argument. She didn't want to fight; in fact she thought they'd left the hostility behind after the last PT session. But clearly not.

Unfortunately for her spite, however, they'd not passed another farm before coming to a stop in a small clearing of trees.

In their previous mission, Soap had been able to map a good portion of the house by drone recording, but even after their analysis, nothing in the house seemed of interest. But it was interesting that there didn't seem to be a home security system. A shot from the living room window allowed for a direct sightline to the front door, which was bare of a keypad, alarm box, or any electrical outputs. It was just a door.

That left a million possibilities before Drew and Ghost as they sat in the car up the road from the target's house.

"Bravo two-seven in position," Soap reported.

As he knew the habits of the target and the lay out of the village, he would be tailing him for the day, keeping them updated on his movements.

"Bravo two-six in position," Gaz echoed a few minutes later.

He was also in the village and would be piloting a drone as well as keeping an eye on any signs of being compromised.

"Moving now," Ghost responded from beside her before they exited the car.

They were dressed in civvies, trying to not look suspicious, but Ghost still wore a black balaclava.

She'd learned from Soap that it was his muted one; he also had one with a skull printed on it, as well as an actual skull faceplate that he would wear onto missions requiring a little more fear factor. Thankfully, his hood was up, meaning most people wouldn't notice the balaclava unless they were looking directly at him. No one was around, and even in their week stay, there weren't many people travelling the road.

Small blessings.

They walked to the air bnb they still had access to and pushed inside before positioning themselves near the window that overlooked the target's house.
