MATT's POV
"Morning mom." I said, sliding into my usual breakfast chair.

"Don't look too happy to be here." My mom chuckled, setting a plate down in front of me.

"Did you just wake up?" Josie laughed as my mom set a mug of coffee in front of her.

"Yeah, when did you get up?" I sighed, starting to eat my pancakes.

"An hour ago." She smiled. "We made some breakfast and had a great time being left alone."

"Yes we did." My mom smiled, joining us at the table. "I heard all about your interview skills."

"Oh god." I groaned, covering my face with my hands.

"Yeah Phi said you pick you nose and eat it." Mara laughed at me.

"I do not." I said, dipping my pancake in the syrup on her plate.

"Hey! Get your own." Mara complained, but I shrugged her off.

"At least admit it man." James spoke. "I saw you at Christmas."

"Dude." I said, flinging a raspberry at him.

"Dude." James groaned, flinging a mango back at me.

"Boys." My mom said, pulling out her stern mom voice.

"Sorry." We both said in unison. I looked up and Josie was smiling at me, hiding her giggle behind a hand.

"So what time are you heading out?" My mom said, clearing her throat.

"We have to catch the 11 am ferry." Josie answered, getting up to clear her plate, grabbing Mara and my mom's as well.

"You guys should get going soon then." My mom laughed. "Thank you Phi."

"Of course." Josie grinned coming up next to me. "I'm packed. I don't know about your darling son here." She laughed, placing a hand on my shoulder. "Are you packed?"

Her laugh brought butterflies to my stomach and her touch ignited a need in me. I felt a blush rise over my cheeks as I looked up at her. "No."

"Then we really should get going." She laughed, tapping me on the shoulder before grabbing my plate.

"I need your help with what to bring." I sighed, standing up.

"Well you guys go do that and I'll clean up down here." My mom smiled.

"You mean we'll clean up down here." Mara chuckled while James crossed his arms.

"Right." I heard my mom say as Josie and I walked upstairs to my room, or what used to be my room.

"Was my bed comfy?" I asked, digging through my closet for clothes to bring.

"Yes." Josie smiled, laying on my bed. "Was your couch comfy?"

"Better than you'd expect." I smiled, throwing a few summer button ups into my suit case.

"I guess thats good." She grinned, standing up. "I had fun here, seeing your hometown and meeting your friends."

"I'm glad." I smiled, placing my hands on her waist. "I know it's a sleepy little town."

"But it's home." She grinned, taking her hands and placing them on my cheeks.

"It is home." I smiled, leaning down to her and attaching our lips in the most searing hot kiss I've felt in a while. A while being the few days we spent with my family. I slowly pulled away from her, not wanting to stop, but needing to. "We've gotta go."

"I know." She said, smiling against my lips. I kept my hands attached to her waist as she walked away from me. She sent me a stunning smile over her shoulder as she made her way out my door and down the stairs. I grabbed our bags and followed her out, meeting my mom and siblings downstairs.
