JOSEPHINE's POV
"Do you know what this dinner is about?" Matt asked me from next to my bed.

"I don't know." I sighed, rolling onto my side. "But they need to get me out of here asap."

"I know I know." Matt chuckled. "We just have to wait for the doctor then I'll bring you home."

"And my tongue hurts again." I said, laughing because of the drugs they had me on. "Do you know when these are going to stop?"

"Josie I told you, it's probably a forever thing." Matt sighed, leaning to take my hand.

"I know you said that." I groaned. "But I'm telling you it's stupid."

"Ok." He smiled, pulling his hands back as the doctor walked in.

"Alright the paperwork has been filed and you guys are all set to go." The doctor said, walking closer. "But one last thing I need to go over with you guys."

"Sure thing." Matt said, glancing over at me.

"Just to be sure, you know enough to answer questions about Josephine's living situation?" The doctor asked.

"I can-." I started but Matt cut me off.

"Yes I know quite a lot." Matt giggled, looking at me.

"Alright, well, does she live alone?" He asked.

"No, she also lives right down the street from me, and we have the same work schedule." Matt answered.

"Right, does she spend a lot of time alone?" The doctor asked again.

"Yes, unfortunately. I check on her as often as I can, but it can be difficult." Matt answered. "She also works a very high stress job."

"Alright, well, based on everything I've gathered after this visit, we're going to up her dosage of medicine and I'm going to put in a recommendation for a seizure alert dog." The doctor spoke, mostly to Matt.

"Why's that?" Matt asked, concern in his voice.

"Well, based on her recent seizures and the stress she's under at work I think it would be a wise decision." The doctor reasoned.

"Alright, I'll bring the information back with us to look over when she's.." Matt trailed off.

"Cognizant?" I giggled, rolling back towards Matt.

"Cognizant." Matt smiled.

"Alright, well you guys can get out of here, if you need anything you know who to call." The doctor smiled.

"Alright Josie let's get out of here." Matt smiled, lifting me out of the hospital bed and placing me into the wheelchair and wheeling me out into the parking lot and lifting me into his car before climbing into the drivers seat.

"I promise it will get better." Matt said, placing a hand on my thigh before he drove off towards my parents house.

"I don't know." I sighed, watching the world go by.

"You better sober up before we get to your parents." Matt smiled.

"I think they'll survive." I groaned.

"So how do you feel about getting a dog?" Matt asked, turning to me.

"I think it would be kinda fun." I sighed, feeling tired from the pain medicine.

"I think it would be a lot safer." Matt said, quietly. "You hurt yourself pretty badly this time."

"I know." I sighed, thinking about the gash that adorned my right shoulder and stitches across my hip. I had fallen after taking a shower, hitting the counter on my way down.

"And it's been three months since the season started and this is your second major seizure since then. You went almost six months without one." Matt mumbled, turning into my neighborhood. "I think it could help you be safe."

"I guess." I spoke. "I can not wait to get home."

"I can tell." Matt chuckled. "Do you need me to carry you."

"No, apparently my family is here." I spoke.

"Alright, at least let me help you out." Matt smiled, parking the car.

"Ok." I blushed, waiting for Matt to walk around the front of the car. I watched as he rushed around the hood of his car, smiling at me as I grinned sleepily.

"Hello pretty lady." Matt smiled, opening the door and offering me a hand.

"Thanks Matty." I smiled, wrapping my arms around his neck.

"Hey hold my hand ok." Matt said, closing the car door after I climbed out.

"I'm ok Matty." I answered him, taking his hand anyway.

"Hey." Matt said, stopping us. "Let me worry ok? I care about you a lot, please?"

"You can worry about me Matty." I smiled, leaning my weight on him as we walked.

"Thanks Josie." He grinned, leading me up the driveway of my parents house.

"Let's go see what this dinner is all about." I chuckled, opening the front door.

"Hey Rory." My dad said, heading over to the foyer with open arms.

"Hei pappa." I said, leaving Matt to hug my dad.

"Come, we're about to sit." He smiled. "Hello Matt, sorry, I was very excited to see min Rory."

"I would be exactly the same." Matt said, following us into the dinning room.

"Alright, hey everyone!" My mom said, setting her computer at the head of the table.

"Oh my god hey guys." I laughed, looking into the camera.

"Hei Rory." Ingrid laughed.

"She just got back from the hospital, she's all doped up." My mom explained. "Rory, sit with Matthew."

"Ok." I sighed, taking a seat across from my parents next to Matt.

"Alright, Marte, what do you need to talk about." My dad smiled, passing something around the table.

"Well, Chris and I have a big announcement." She smiled, holding Chris's hand.

"We've been keeping a secret for a while." Chris grinned, moving closer to the camera.

"We're pregnant." Marte smiled.

"Oh my god!" My mom gasped. "Another grand baby!"

"Wow Marte this is amazing!" My dad smiled, pulling my mom into his side.

"Another baby?" I asked, standing.

"Nope, sit back down." Matt smiled, pulling me into my chair.

"Matt." I groaned, leaning into his side. "I'm excited for them."

"I know you are." Matt grinned, holding me close.

"Marte we are so happy." My mom smiled.

"Well theres one more thing we want to share with you." Marte grinned, turning to Chris.

"Today we found out the gender of the baby and we wanted to find out all together." Chris answered her.

"Oh yay!" I said, clasping my hands. "Open the envelope!"

"Alright." Marte spoke, her smile so wide. "Three, two, one."

I held Matt's hand as they pulled open the envelope. I watched Marte's face for any sign of disappointment, but she was only excited.

"It's a girl!" Marte said, tears in her eyes.

"Oh my god." My mom sighed. I turned to Matt, my cheeks hurting from smiling so much.

"Matt!" I giggled, falling into his side. "Let's have a baby."

"Let's talk when you're sober." Matt chuckled, hugging me.
