JOSEPHINE's POV
"Are you excited?" I asked my mom, nearly bouncing out of my seat.

"Ja roe deg ned nå." My mom laughed, wanting me to sit still.

"Sorry, sorry." I laughed. "We just haven't been to a game together in so long."

"I know." She smiled. "I'm glad they let you take off work for this."

"Me too." I answered her, feeling a pang of sadness in my chest.

"Thank you Rory." She smiled, her motherly instincts kicking in. I sent her a soft smile just as my dad joined us on my other side.

"Third period!" My dad smiled, handing me a beer and a water bottle to my mom.

"And it's tied." I smiled, raising my can. "To another Wild game."

"Another Wild game." My parents laugh, tapping their drinks with mine.

"What are we cheersing to?" I heard Mrs. Mittelstadt ask, sitting down with Mr. Mittelstadt followed by John and Luke.

"Another Wild game." I smiled at her, so glad they could come with us to watch Casey play.

"Another Wild game." She smiled, clinking her drink with my mom's then mine.

"So Phi how do you feel about your ex playing your new boyfriend?" John asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Oh so horrible." I laughed, rolling my eyes.

"Does Matt know?" Luke asked, fully immersed in the gossip.

"Yeah." I laughed. "My mom actually spilled the beans I think."

"Way to stir the pot Mrs. Walle." Luke smiled, offering my mom a fist bump.

"I did my best not to laugh." My mom smiled, sitting back in her chair. I turned my attention to the game, which had resumed a few minutes ago. Matt hopped off the bench, rushing down the ice. I bit the inside of my cheek as he entered the zone, passing to Ryan who passed to Moose. My eyes locked onto the puck, praying the Avs wouldn't take it away; but I wasn't so lucky.

On a bad pass from Middsy, Casey gained control of the puck, shooting off towards Gus. Gus got into position, ready to stop the breakaway. He's going high Gus! Shit. Casey did exactly what I thought he would do, deek right then shoot high, scoring just over Gus's blocker.

"Lets go!" Mrs. Mittelstadt yelled, shooting out of her chair.

"Oh Dede." My mom chuckled, enjoying herself. "I'll clap for him."

"Just give me a little woo woo!" Mrs. Mittelstadt laughed, sitting down.

"I will do no such thing." My mom grinned.

"Never change Celine." Mrs. Mittelstadt smiled, patting my mom on the thigh.

I sat on the edge of my seat, watching as the minutes turned into seconds as the third period drew to a close. We have time for one more rush. Joel held the puck behind Gus, waiting for the others to get in position. I reached over to grab my moms hand, nervous for Matt. Joel made the stretch pass up to Marcus as they started the play. My eyes glued onto Matt's head, watching as he held back before moving in closer to the Colorado goalie. Marcus shot the puck off the goalies pads and I stood up, know exactly what was going to happen, they've done it so many times. Matt was waiting and ready for the rebound, shooting the puck right into the open goal.

"Lets go!" I smiled, wrapping my arms around my mom.

"He tied it with seconds left!" My mom smiled, hugging me back. "Whose son is better now?" My mom sassed, sitting down.
