Chapter Twenty-Five

I wake up seeing LaMelo next to me still sleeping, I check his phone only to see that his lockscreen was still the same one as it was when we broke up, it was a photo taken of us to when he gave me the promise ring which I still had and always wore no matter what. Anyways I went to check to see if Ana had messaged anything but she was already blocked as she should be. Anyways I get out of bed hoping into the shower waking myself up, I had came to realisation that I didn't have spare clothes, I came out of the bathroom going through Melo's closet tryna look for something to wear, I found a 3BB black shirt and some red and white Jordan basketball pants that I had gifted Melo years ago. I put them on and Melo wakes up.

LaMelo: Shii, what time it is?
Kehlani: it's 7:30am
LaMelo: 7:30am I gotta be at the airport at 9am I got a game tonight-
Kehlani: In LA? I know I booked the jet for both of us we'll be in LA by 12pm no doubt. But we should start gathering our things like now I booked an Uber.

As I say that LaMelo gets out of bed packing all his things, I go across to my house while everyone was still sleeping and grab my bags putting them in the car, Melo comes out to the Uber putting his bags in there as well. Melo and I get into the car and start heading to the airport we soon arrive and so message my family letting them know that Melo and so had to leave for LA. We get to the airport and all the planes had been delayed because of the storm for 1 hour Melo and I decided to wait in the proper airport cause it was cold outside and we didn't wanna get wet Melo and I put a hoodie on and he stands behind me with his arms around my neck/top of the shoulder, he kissed my forehead. 30 minutes later the airport security opens the private doors since our jet had arrived. We gather our things heading straight on the plane. We both sit down and watch netflix on his phone, I end up falling asleep.

Suddenly I get woken up by Melo letting me know that we were back in LA, we get in my car that was dropped off earlier and start driving to my apartment. I park in the private parking lot and Melo and I go up the elevator. We arrive on the top floor and I scan my keycard unlocking my apartment's door.

LaMelo: Damn you own all this?

Kehlani: No the studio does, I move out next month.
LaMelo: Why?

Kehlani: Because I'm leaving to start my life. I've been doing music since I was a kid I'm ready to start my new chapter. Imma still do my music but imma do it on my own timing.

LaMelo: Where you gonna live?

Kehlani: I'm moving back to Charlotte.

LaMelo: when you say you wanna start new, what you mean?

Kehlani: Well I mean, Evoni and Gelo are having another kid and getting married in 3 months, Zo and Denise are trying to have a baby now that Zo's out of the basketball season this year with his knee injury. I'm ready to settle down and start my life.

LaMelo: yeah I get what you mean, but you know gods timing you feel me? what's meant to happen will happen when it happens. Personally I don't really wanna kid right now cause I'm just onto my 2nd year of the NBA. And that's a lot of responsibility when I'm like mad focussed on my career right now.

Kehlani: Yeah, I understand. But boy get ready you gotta be at the arena in and hour and a half.

LaMelo looks at the time...

LaMelo: Oh shit.
He says grabbing his jersey out of his gym back.

After 30 minutes he comes back out putting his MB's on.  I then run upstairs rushing in the shower getting dressed into my outfit for the game...
