Freen's

As they neared the table I was sitting on, I stood up. When they finally stood in front of me, I acknowledged Becky first by giving her a hug and a soft kiss on her temple. God, how does she always manage to smell this good?

When we parted, I extended my hands to Taran which she quickly took and shook. Freen, I simply told her, making sure I was giving a smile though I'm well aware of how tight it is now.

Dasha. Nice to finally meet you. She said, returning the smile while shaking my hand. How I wish I could say the same, though. It's not nice meeting you. It's not nice having to meet someone who is romantically involved with Becky at all. So, no, I'm not saying it back.

I was about to let go of her hand when I remembered something. Dasha? Isn't she Taran? Before I could stop myself, I blurted asking, Taran? She chuckled and nodded. Ah, the same person. I just nodded my head at that.

Taran is my last name. But I would rather people call me Dasha. I turned my gaze to Becky which I suppose Dasha quickly picked up on. Becca's the exception, though. I like the sound of my last name when she says it. She said, winking at Becky. I internally rolled my eyes and sighed.

I just nodded and gave her a tight smile. We proceeded to sit after. I wasn't expecting Becky to sit beside me, but it still stings that she did not.

How was the drive here, Freen? Dasha asked, attempting to lessen the awkward air filling us right now. It was fine, how about you guys? I simply answered, returning the question.

It was okay. In fact, it was so so okay. She said, turning her gaze to Becky while smiling sweetly. I just nodded and decided to make an effort as well to make things a bit comfortable. Dasha doesn't look nervous from what I am seeing, it's Becky who looks quite tense.

I heard you guys had your lunch date today. Not really asking, because it is a fact since Becky planned it when I was with her.

Yeah, it was really good. Becca is such a good cook. Her pasta is amazing. She said, smiling affectionately at Becky. I love how it seems to her like I was interested in their love story. Well, maybe a little, except I feel jealous and it's pissing me off.

But I am not about to act foolish, regardless of the pain, I will try for Becky.

I returned the smile and looked at Becky as well. She sure is. Quite talented with almost everything. For a moment, I saw how her cheeks turned red and quickly got back to normal because Becky seemed to try and hold it back in. I smirked at her which earned me a pointed look.

I love how I still easily provoke a blush from her that Dasha can't seem to do that easily. I forced myself to stop smiling mischievously. Dasha noticed it and I saw how Becky's arm that was under the table moved with Dasha's arm as well.

That's why I feel so lucky. Dasha suddenly blurted out. She then brings their joined hands to the table, it wasn't entwined but they are holding each other so securely with Dasha gently caressing Becky's with her thumb.

I felt my lips twitch and my heart pained. I smiled and told her, You should. She just smiled sincerely. I turned my gaze to Becky who was looking softly at Dasha. What a sight. I returned my attention to the menu I was holding and I assumed they did the same.

I'm still honestly full, cutie. I might get just dessert. How about you? Dasha told Becky when she asked about her order.

I'm still quite full too. What are you getting?

I'm thinking of mango sticky rice, do you want it? We can share. She said to Becky and upon glancing at them, I saw Dasha give her a playful wink which Becky just chuckled at.
