My hands were lying on the rough, cracked wooden table, feeling the textures. Head bowed, a satisfied smile playing on my lips.
There was an unusual quietness in the charms classroom. Only Professor Ronan and Arthur Plummly claimed the most words spoken in class.
Arthur seemed to have made an exciting discovery today (Most likely unintentionally): the more you asked the professor, the more he fell into a kind of compulsion to explain something that could last several minutes. I assumed that Arthur was secretly trying to distract from the learning test that was actually at hand.
But I wasn't too quite sure whether it was a clever strategy from him or if he was simply annoyingly curious about the toppic.
I had my justified doubts when it came to the intelligence of some of my classmates.
However, my thoughts were consumed about the two young gentlemen sitting next to me... and what they had done to me on their respective nights.
To my left sat Garreth, leaning back in his chair, daydreaming instead of listening to Professor Ronan. I didn't even have to find a reason to know why he was in a good mood.
To my right sat my favorite person. Sebastian played with a strand of my hair, telling me in my mind the goosebump-inducing things that he wanted to do to me.
Embarrassed, I bit my lower lip to suppress my grin of anticipation. I allowed myself to glance at him. He stared at me from under his eyebrows, mouth slightly open, face red. I knew all too well what that look meant.
'After class, yes?' he wanted to know and pulled on the strand of my hair. I looked down at his hand holding a black strand so needily.
'I'll kiss you there too' He promised and gestured with his eyes what he meant. I turned red in a matter of seconds. He was always so vulgar... and I didn't like how much I enjoyed it.
"Psst... Vera!" it suddenly hissed in front of my desk. It was Imelda who had turned away from her table to look at me. I tried to regain my composure and ignored Sebastian while leaning towards Imelda. My hair slipping through his fingers.
"What is it?" I asked quietly, studying her face. "How far are you with the absinthe?" she wanted to know nervously.
I couldn't help but smile. "Don't tell me you're in a hurry" Her expression became serious. "Are you trying to make me angry?" She hissed to me and I put a comforting hand on her arm.
"Relax Imelda. I'll start brewing tonight. You will receive a bottle in a week." I smiled at her cheerfully.
"All right." she sighed and looked past me to my left and right, perhaps examining my two...well, what did I want to call them without lying to myself? Lovers? Boyfriends? My fiancé and my loved one?
'I like the sound of fiancé' Sebastian's smirking voice echoed in my head. I rolled my eyes, ignoring his statement.
"Don't think I don't know why you're in such a good mood ...I have my suspicions that Garreth didn't just win once over the weekend" Imelda stated and I followed her gaze. Garreth had his hands on the back of his neck, leaning against his chair, chest out and a victorious smile. His attention somewhere in the clouds.
"But there was only one game?" I spoke back with an innocent expression. While I blinked at her, she looked me in the eyes annoyed for about five seconds. "You're a really irritating person, you know that?" She stated, turning back and listening to Professor Ronan again.
I grinned victoriously to myself.
'Sweetheart, after class I expect you to follow me.' Sebastian made clear in my mind and I nodded as if I agreed with Professor Ronan. Sebastian understood.
