Secrets in dark corners

"You can do whatever you want, just don't feel guilty about it. Ominis has no clue what he's talking about. I promise you, I'll be by your side." Sebastian pressed another kiss on my lips.

In a dark, quiet corner of the library, I sat on a shelf with my back pressed against the books. The corner was so dark that the shadows almost took over the small candlelight that was trying with all its might to illuminate me and Sebastian.

A storm was howling outside, the cold rain hitting the colored windows.

And a tornado of emotions and fire swirled within me.

Ominis's words had been bothering me for days. I couldn't sleep, wallowing in guilt and shame. And the only person who could see that was Sebastian.

He stood between my legs and whispered soothing words to me while stroking my face and hair as if I were an injured animal.

"I'll prove it to you..." he breathed a few centimeters from my face. "...I pledge myself to you. Permanently" His confession made me weak in the knees. Luckily I was sitting.

I subconsciously gripped his hair tighter. "What are you saying?" I asked him, looking between his eyes.

'Marry me' his voice sounded in my head. My mouth fell open in shock at his request. He meant it, I could feel it.

"Aren't we too young for this?" I wanted to know.

I still hadn't gotten used to the fact that he could read my thoughts. But now, that I could hear some of his made it a bit more pleasant... but not much easier to deal with.

Sebastian grinned and took me tightly into his arms. "If that's your only concern about it, I consider myself lucky." He laughed into my shoulder and placed his hand on the back of my head. I nuzzled his neck and closed my eyes. I felt safe.

"I haven't said yes" I recalled. "But it wasn't a no." He countered, confidently.

I pulled away from him and stared at him stubbornly.

"Mrs. Sallow" He chuckled.

"You're rushing this" I smiled back and kissed him softly. He assertively returned the gesture, his tongue dancing dominantly around mine. His hands gripped my sides firmly and I didn't have to feel his heart to know what he wanted.

'Lets go somewhere more privat.' Sebastian was breathing hard and pressed himself closer between my legs.

"Vera!" came a shouty, whispering voice through the hallways "By Merlin's beard, it's always the same with her" I linked the dissatisfied murmur to Imelda.

I suddenly pushed Sebastian away, jumped to my feet and ran to the corridor so that I found Imelda before she found me.

Standing in the hallway I saw Anne, Poppy and Imelda. Getting up so quickly made me feel stormy, so I casually tried to support myself against a bookshelf.

"Hello everyone" I pressed out awkwardly while walking to meet them and sitting down at a table where students could learn.

"There she is, I told you so. All you have to do is search the library, ask Garreth or follow Sebastian." Poppy teased as she put her bag on the table.

"And in this scenario, all three could be relied upon. Come out Sebastian, we know you're there." Imelda notified my lover in the hidden book alley.

I looked over my shoulder in panic as I saw a calm Sebastian strolling into the hallway with an open book. He pretended to be reading and then closed the book in annoyance.

"I can't say that it is a pleasure to see you." He addressed his words to Imelda and sat down on an armchair in the corner, making it look like he wasn't even part of this group.
