An ominous encounter

"Leander is really cute" Poppy blushed as we walked to Central Hall.

"you two seemed to have a great connection" I admitted and came to a stop when we arrived by the fountain. She sat down and since she wasn't big enough for her feet to touch the ground, her legs dangled rhythmically.

"Your one to talk! Now we both got dates with Griffindor boys." she giggled.
"Have I missed something important?" I heard Natty say behind me. I closed my eyes in disbelieve.
"its not a date, its just moral support" I said defending myself, "Ill probably be sitting there reading my books, which professor Hecat ordered me to get." Natty sat down next to poppy and and looked at me inquiringly. The two friends looked at each other and they held back a laugh convulsively.
"Are you going to tell her or should I" Natty sneered to the hufflepuff.

I just stood there listening to them gossiping about me and rolled my eyes at the two girls.
„I actually don't have time for this boy talk all over again. I have a special permit to get books out of the restricted area. You two have fun at the greenhouse" I said as nicely as I could and left the two girls by the fountain.

I rushed down the wooden stairs in to the library. The morning sun shined through the windows and distracted me from the conversation I just had with poppy and natty.

Two suspicious eyes looked at me above oval glasses. The Librarian, Ms. Scribner.
„What can I help you with today, dear?" she asked me as I walked up to her.
„I need to get a couple of books from the restricted section, orders from professor Hecat" I said handing her the permit. She examined it and handed it back to me.
„You get the books, and then come to me so I can check them." She stated. I nodded and walked towards the restricted metal gate. My fingers push open the cold gate and I walked into the section.

With a worried look on my face I read what I was supposed to get.

Hecat mentioned something about learnig about my rare ability and hence why I should have a particular good prerequisite for wandless magic.
She was very proud when I mentioned this very morning that I wanted to take her course for the N.E.W.T.s.
„I will make sure that you, as my student, will complete your exams with an O as you did your O.W.L.s. If you need anything, you can come to me. I am convinced that you will have exceptionally good grades and a bright career whichever path you may take"
Her voice echoed through my head.
Since I arrived late to hogwarts the professors gave me a little more time to decide which career I should begin after school. Professor Hecat even suggested me an time turner to take more classes, to figure it out.
Grateful for her efforts I gathered the books and walked back to Ms. Scribner, who was talking with another student.

„Ms. Zograf, just put the books and the permit on my desk I will have a look at it when I am done helping Mr. Gaunt." She said to me. When I tried to catch a glimpse of Ominis I saw that his face had lit up by the sound of my name. His white eyes where searching for me and I had to swallow hard when I saw how his face has become more striking and masculine. Aside from that was he now a good head taller than me.

„Or I can help him and you can check my books right away" I offered her with a grin. Ominis nodded in response of my words.
„Very well" she said as she watched him. I gave her my books and my permit. She watched us suspiciously as we walked off together.

„Hey you" He said softly while putting his right hand on my shoulder to let me guide him.
„Hello Ominis" I smiled and put my hand on his and gave it a gentle squeeze.

„What book are you searching for?" I asked now coming to a stop.
„I need it for History of Magic, its called Fifteen Century Fiends" He spoke while walking with me up the stairs, towards the reference section.
