My hands supported my head on the dining table of the ravenclaws. Who knew watching first year students getting sorted would be this tiring.

Maybe it was a long day of traveling. Not really knowing anyone at my table didn't help either. Amit was the only one I actually knew and he was sitting at the bottom of the table, being the closest to the sorting. Meanwhile was I sitting on the left side of the bench and the furthest away.

After the last first year got sorted professor Black words echoed through the dining hall, letting the students know, that Quidditch season was reopened.
"I must tell you, this decision came from the Department of Magical Games and Sports at the Ministry. Apparently a letter arrived, written by one of the Hogwarts professors, it was requested that the sport be playable again as soon as possible" He said, while giving Madam Kogawa a meaningful look. I stifled a giggle, knowing too well what their facial expression meant.

While Students cheered loud in response of this great news I heard Imelda say: „It is about time"
I shifted my focus to the Slytherin table behind me.

„You better sign up for the tryouts for the Ravenclaw team" Imelda suddenly said, looking at me. I gave her a warm smile. I knew it took a lot from her being nice to me, which made me appreciate it much more.

„Maybe I need to understand the game first" I grinned back at her.
„try first, study later. Can't have my strongest competitor burying her nose in books" Imelda stated.
„I see what I can do" I huffed.
I couldn't say it out loud, but quidditch was very new to me. And maybe was I a bit anxious about this whole new sport. Because I was admitted late to Hogwarts I grew up with knowing sports like tennis, football, cricket or rugby.
So no flying cannonballs or something like that.
„Come on Vera! You are excellent at flying, to say the least. Just with that talent alone you have nothing to worry about" Imelda whispered, leaning towards me. Like she didn't want people to think she could be nice too.
„But I.." I tried to argue but two big hands on my shoulder interrupted me.

„You worry too much" a soft voice spoke right behind me. I had to crane my neck to see who it was. Sebastian Sallow. My dearest friend.
„Sebastian! Great to see you" I smiled. Imelda turned her back to us, knowing this conversation had ended the second Sebastian was listening. Never understood her negative feelings towards him.
„You as well, you have changed indeed. So the rumours are true then" He grinned and sat down next to me with his upper body towards me, legs on each side of the bench. I eyed him. Poppy did not lie when she said that he grew muscles. He became bulkier, filled his body more. Despite his now striking face, he still had his youthful charm.
„What rumours?" I asked, feeling overwhelmed by his appearance. The flames began to blaze inside of me, this new feeling came back.

„That you look more mature now and I have to admit that I tried to catch up with you on the train" he chuckled. I took a hasty sip of my pumpkin juice, trying not to choke. The drink cooled my heat down.
„Why were you on the train again? Last time I remembered you lived in Feldcroft" I tried to change the subject. His face got dark. I sensed that I had said something ruthless.
„Im sorry, I kind of forgot. I know this is still a very real and active problem in your life ." I whisper.
„Are you kidding me? You don't have to be sorry I should be the one apologising to you. I made a series of bad decisions, dragging you down with me, hurting you and Ominis." Sebastian responded quietly.

„No Seabastian! You were in the right! I shared your views and Solomon was a mean man. You didn't deserve the way he treated you! We both knew you only wante..."I muttered as he put a finger on my lips to silence me. Sebastian scooted closer and leaned his head to my ear.

the fire was back

„lets not continue this conversation here. I would like to talk about this with you at another time. Maybe on an adventure" He smiled.
With wide open eyes I started to stutter:
„I actually... eh .. made a promise to.. to myself"
I had to swallow hard. He tilted his head curiously.
„what kind of promise?" he asked and I looked at him over my shoulder. My head wanted to explode at the sight of him.
„I want to have a less troubled year this time" I smiled sheepishly.

Sebastian laughed.
„I can respect that. Then lets meet in Irondale, so that we can learn for school, or read" he grinned and stood up. My eyes examined him, as my body started to burn. So hot that I was afraid that my clothes would char.

I nodded in responses to him and hoped he would go so I could run to the toilet, and collect myself. I stood up next to hin giving him a last look.

„But it should be soon so that we can really enjoy the weather." He added and I assumed he started to pick up that something was wrong with me.
„Sure" I smiled overwhelmed and stated to walk out of the great Hall.

When I was out of sight from everybody I began to run as fast as I could down the stairs to the Slytherin toilets.
Great thing was, the toilet was empty and I leaned over the sink, catching my breath.
„What in gods name..." I gasped when I saw that
my body was steaming and my normally grey eyes were dark red.

These new features didn't help this situation in the slightest. I tried to hold this fire in as much as I could.

Everything is okay! You are calm and ...

My Body let out an bloodcurdling scream, in response of the pain this heat started to produce.
„Shit" I screamed letting my body drop to the floor, curling myself against the torture.
