Wanderer:
Wanderer wasn't one to back out of a challenge, he thrived in it.
He followed suit, the wind churned beneath him propelling him forward, he didn't need wings to catch the airflow for he was the wind. Very soon he caught up with Angelica, her wings-span splayed out at its full width more massive than he remembered it.
Now, they were neck and neck.
Her strong wings battered through the air leaving streams of white, like tidal wave foam in her wake while Wanderer's Vision pulsated faster boosting him through the air, protecting him from the incoming whips of wind with a shield that cascaded around him like a storm pelting against a shed window.
The white heavy doors of Surasthana came into view but neither batted an eye as they both reached out their hands for the handle.
Instead of feeling the cold metal of the handle as if by magic it opened on its own. Too sudden to stop now.
So, they both, collided, into the door-opener.
Angelica:
Angelica felt a massive bonk to her head as she slammed into something.
She rolled a few times before coming to a stop, on another body below who tumbled in with her. Her once neat feathers became frazzled, jutting out from different angles like a bird who hit the side of a wall. A feather lost its home in her wings and landed, balanced on Wanderer's nose.
Angelica gradually rose to her feet groaning from the collision to her head and wobbling a bit like a newborn foal.
She opened her eyes to see what she had crashed into, her big green eyes landed on what looked to be a small child, sprawled across the ground like a murder scene.
"Oh, my Archons! Are you okay?!" She yelped, rushing over to help the poor girl whose eyes rapidly blinked as if they were still in the process of what happened, she easily lifted her to stand.
"P=please forgive me, I was having a race with my saviour here and didn't see you. I'm terribly sorry, please forgive me." Angelica quickly spoke tumbling over words, the word saviour slipping from her mouth without noticing.
She looked over to Wanderer, and quickly walked over to him, "I'm sorry about that, are you okay?" She asked, concern plastered on her face as she outstretched her hand to him, waiting for the other to accept the help.
Wanderer:
Wanderer saw stars for what felt like hours but when he eventually came to, persuaded by an itch to his nose, he was sprawled out on the floor which was so unlike him but no matter how much he urged his body, it did not wish to cooperate.
So, he lay there, eyeing the culprit that rested peacefully on the tip of his nose, the culprit of the itch. Till it was too ticklish to bear that he sneezed. Sending the culprit flying off his nose to dance in the air like falling maple leaves and watched as it slowly lost its ability of flight to land on his forehead in silent mockery.
He heard rustle beside him, noise, the jumble of words, well more specifically a singular word that sent shivers through his body 'Saviour' he was anything but a saviour, the mere thought someone would have the preconceived notion that he of all people would have a word of that positive magnitude attached to him made his face scrunch up. However, it did put feeling back into his limbs which was one plus in the waterfall of negatives, he needed to shoot down that idea of himself after all. He groaned as he slowly got himself to a sitting position even if it did feel like he may have popped something in his body, he severely felt like an unused ruinguard that just got reawakened after a presence walked past its vicinity. He stretched his back, shook his limbs and cracked his neck with abrupt movement.
Then a hand appeared in his peripheral vision, he peered up at the owner of the hand to see also the misconceived owner of the 'saviour' word.
Angelica stared with worried eyes at him.
He raised an annoyed eyebrow at her, shaking off her outstretched hand and helped himself off the floor. He saw something flash in her eyes but he ignored it focused on stabilising his footing and dusted his clothes off. He felt more eyes on him, he turned and nearly choked on his saliva as his eyes met Lesser Lord Kusanali's.
She was watching, she so was watching because the 'there he goes again' stare was written all over her face to which he replied with a domineering smile that he coupled with theatrically gesturing to the one he brought with him. Her pupils went back and forth between the two before resting solidly on Wanderer with the 'expecting something' look, to which he responded with an awkward smile.
"Well? Introductions?" She prompted finally, in her piercing voice.
Angelica:
Angelica faced back to the young girl, "Oh I'm sorry, my name's Angelica. Wanderer here found me and saved me from The Fatui in Yazadaha pool. He told me to follow him, very commandingly mind you, long story short it led to a race and well now we're here."
She gestured to the scene around her, after the clumsy explanation from the series of nerves that she struggled to shake off. She tapped her index fingers together like a child who didn't know how to express her next words, "Again I'm very sorry, I didn't hurt you did I?" She triple- checked.
Her heart still racing from both nervousness and the fact that she literally flew something something miles per hour into someone she had never met before, she grimaced inside, what a great first impression.
Placing her hand on her heart to try and calm her erratic breathing she turned to wanderer and spoke with surety. "Is this the place you wanted to take me to? Or should I say the person you wanted to take me to?" She questioned in a huff, Why am I here? Have I done something wrong?
