It's now time for Prom 2005. Bella got bit by James in Phoenix, Arizona, but Edward managed to suck the venom out. She's in a cast for tonight's event bht she's still coming to prom. ****

"She looks beautiful," Bella says when she and Edward enter the inn where prom's being held.
Edward follows her eyes and he sees Athena. "Yeah," he replies softly. "She got that dress about a week before you came into town. She goes to Italy every so often to see her creator and she bought the dress in Rome."
"Bella. Edward," Athena says as she walks over. She's still hurt but for this past six weeks, Edward had kept Bella away. "You look pretty, Bella. I'd say beautiful, but the cast..."
"Yeah," Bella says in agreement. "You look beautiful."
"Thanks!" Athena's green eyes twinkle. "Want to hear my story?"
Bella nods and Athena whisks her away. Edward frowns as the two dance to a slow song and he hears Athena telling Bella about the children of the moon and about how she turned.
"See?" Alice appears beside Edward. "I told you to give Athena time mend her broken heart at least a little bit and she'd be better with Bella."
"Did she come alone?"
"No, I did," Alice says. "Jasper was Athena's date tonight."
"Really?"
"It was all my idea, too," Alice says. "She and Jazz are really good friends, and I couldn't let Athena come alone since Emmett and Rosalie left early for the African safari."
Edward glances at Alice. "That's great of you," he says.
Alice nods. "I know," she replies before she goes to dance with Jasper.
Bella and Athena walk back over once the song is over.
"I'm sorry about your baby," Bella says to Athena.
"Thank you," Athena says. "You two have fun." She turns and walks away.
"She's still hurting;" Bella says, "that'll take time."
"I know," Edward replies. He gazes at Bella before he guides her outside.
Athena chats with the humans and dances with a few while the night goes on.
