Well Then...

Moon glared at me over the top of the monitor. "... Helping in the daycare?"

I nod slowly. "I figured it would... be... I'm not sure, maybe sufficient debt payment?"

"Debt?" Moon looked back to the computer, brushing a strand of black hair from his face. "What is there to 'pay'?"

"Well, you did help me be rid of that... thing in my head. It would be rude to only give a simple 'thank you' and let that be the end of it," I say.

He pauses, then shrugs it off and continues typing without a word. Solar, who was watching over Moon's shoulder with his arms around the other's waist, glanced at me. "You don't have to repay anything, Ruin," he informed me.

I knew that. Of course I knew that. It was simply an unspoken rule with this family - help need not be returned. Still, I felt like it was my job to help them. Why did I feel like that?

I had a faint idea for an answer, but I pushed it to the back of my head.

Solar buried his face in Moon's neck as I spoke. "I am aware. I am... well, I'm also rather bored tinkering with arcade machines for hours upon hours."

"Fair enough," Moon added, not looking up from the screen. He tilted his head to nuzzle against Solar's.

I chuckle halfheartedly. "You two make me feel single."

Moon paused. "Well, maybe that's it."

"What's what?"

"Maybe that's what it'll take for you to not be so bored 24/7." He straightened slightly, not enough to knock Solar out of him embrace. "Finding a lover of some kind."

I sigh. "Moon, that's a, uhm... flattering idea, but I wish not to get Tinder."

"I didn't mean a dating app," he growls in annoyance. The tone made me take a step back. "Speed dating, something like that."

Speed dating... The concept had always interested me, to be frank. Blind dates in general.

"Perhaps a blind date would be best..." I admit slowly.

Solar and Moon stare at me, then turn to each other. Solar speaks up. "Hey, I think I know someone who would be interested in something like that..."

Nervousness makes my finger nails tap on my thigh. "You-you do? Who?"

"It's not exactly blind dating if you know who it is. You up for it, say, tomorrow for lunch?"

Well, I have not much better to do with my time, and there won't be any kids at the daycare...

Reluctantly, I nod.
