Comfort fluff and just wholesome gays. AMERICA YA :D

Earth looks at me and screams.

I didn't blame her - if I saw someone with dried blood on their forehead, torn clothing, pale face, large red mark wrapping around their neck (Sun told me I had that there), shaking, red-eyed, getting a piggy-back ride from my brother (which I have none); I would be terrified as well.

She rushed behind the desk and grabbed a first-aid kit as Sun gently sat me in a chair while explaining my situation. Earth grabs an ice pack, pops the bag inside, shakes it until it's cold, covers it in a rag, and presses it gently on my neck. The cold stings, but it'll keep the swelling down so I don't protest. Sun takes a napkin from his pocket, sprays the medical disinfectant, and begins rubbing the dried blood away to see my wound. He says something about gashes. It's hard to hear through my clouded mind.

My life had nearly ended. Eclipse had tried to strangle me. My mind was in shock.

"Ruin?" Sun's voice is faint, but there. I look up to see him placing a large bandaid on my forehead. He's smiling hesitantly at me. "You... doing alright?"

"Yeah..." My voice isn't as strong and sure as I'd like it.

He glances at Earth, who had moved my hand to the ice pack and was instructing me how to use it. Her words were a blur, but that was alright - I already knew how to use an ice pack. I hold it on my neck despite the discomfort and keep my gaze on Sun.

He clears his throat and sits down in the chair next to me, gently putting a hand on my thigh. "Hey, uh... after you left, Emma and Jaxon came up to me and asked where you were. They had something to give you." He reaches behind the chair I was in and opens a drawer, taking out a stack of colored construction paper. "They said they're gonna miss you when you leave this week." He shows me the picture on the top - a crude drawing of two children sitting on my lap with a large rainbow over us. At the bottom was one word - 'friend'.

I gently take the drawing in my free hand. "Wow... They... made this for... me?" I cough slightly.

Sun nods. He then points to the smaller paper still in his hand. "I made you something, too."

I set the drawing down and grabbed the smaller pink paper, then realized it wasn't smaller - it was folded in half hamburger-style, like a card. The front had a shaky outline of a heart in blue glitter glue. Sun chuckles at the heart. "That was the kids' idea."

I open the card and gasp. It was drawn in simple pencil, with a lot of lighter portions where he had erased furiously, but it was beautiful. Two plushies - a Sun plushy and a Ruin plushy, though I don't have any - sitting on a desk, leaning against each other. My little mitten hand was above his as if holding it. At the bottom is one word, like Emma and Jaxon's drawing, but it was a different word in much neater handwriting.

'Boyfriend?'

Earth sees the word and squeals, then covers her mouth in shock. "Sh-should I leave? I feel like I shouldn't-I mean, this seems private-"

"Oh, I think you're fine-I mean unless Ruin-I guess-" Sun starts to ramble too, and soon they're just contradicting each other at the same time. They were both pretty awkward at times, so this wasn't new. I didn't mind Earth being there. She would bring it up later anyway.

I smile gently at Sun before gesturing for him to come over. His voice trails off as he complies. I hear Earth go quiet in anticipation.

My voice is raspy still, but semi-strong. I chuckle. "If I could breathe, I would kiss you."

Sun blinks at me, then his face turns beet red. "Wha-what?!"

I lean back in the chair and stare at the drawing. "You heard me."

"So-so is that-yes?"

I nod, then wince as my head pounds. Sun notices said wince and puts a hand on my shoulder, grinning. "Wow, uh, okay! Didn't expect you to say yes, actually!"

Earth looked like she was about to blow. She mutters something about Monty, Sun nods, and she scampers away.

"Uh..." Sun looks at the computer. "Since you still... ya know, need to relax... Wanna play a game? Or something?" He sounded more awkward after my response, though it was a good kind of awkward this time.

"You can play." I sit up straighter, still holding the ice to my neck. "I just wish to watch."

"Alrighty then!" He scoots his chair to a computer and signs in. I lean my cheek on the back of his shoulder and stare at the screen, sighing contently.

This is nice...
