As my child's force signature grows stronger Kanan grows more confused. As he sees me sticking close to Hera and Sabine he keeps trying to break into my head. Kanan hasn't called for training and I know it'll be coming soon. I sit in the kitchen with Beway when Kanan comes in. It's been about a week since they've saved me.
"I was trained by other Jedi Master's yes but I have seen or talked to either of them since I last saw them when I left training to return to Lothal." I tell Beway and he nods his head but looks confused.
"Why leave? Why not finish your training?" He asks me and I smile. He seems thrown off by this.
"The force was wanting me somewhere else so I did as it said and I found four force sensitive people and knew that the force wanted me to find them to train them and have them train me." I say taking a sip of my coffee as Kanan walks in. Both Beway and I look up at him. I put my cup on the table but keep my hands rapped around it.
"Lyra it's time for training come on." He says and I grip my cup tighter. Kanan notices and lifts my chin so I have to look at him. "Is something wrong Lyra?" He asks me. I release my cup and smile as I get up.
"No let's go." I tell him. We walk out of the Ghost and he pulls out his blaster as he walks to his spot and I walk to mine. I feel Beway leave the Ghost and enter the field behind me. Block practice. He was trying to tire me out so he could get into my head.
"Great! I'm not going to get to go to sleep for a while just what my child needs." I pull out my lightsaber and fall into my stance. I sense a blast coming from behind me and I swing my blade back and send it at Beway who stands in the field with a blaster. He dives away and it goes into the field. I feel Kanan's anger coming in waves behind me and I feel dizzy and lightheaded as I start to sway from side to side.
"K-Kanan I... I don't feel so well." I say. I feel his anger subside as he walks over and raps his arms around me so I can us him as a supporter. I start to get my vision back and I see Beway heading this way. I can feel a hint of anger coming off his force signature and irritation.
"Jarrus your affecting her you need to control your anger. I was testing you. I knew she would be able to deflect it. She knew I was there." Beway says as he stops in front of us. Kanan looks at me as I breath in and out deeply.
"I can't exactly stay calm with you around." My father says his anger returning this time stronger than before. I start to feel dizzy and lightheaded once again. I start to slip and I grasp Kanan's arm for help. His anger evaporates and he grabs me tighter and lays me down. Beway walks over and looks at me. He looks me in the eyes and checks my pulse as I fight to stay conscious.
"She's weaker than usual. She was even before you lost your temper." He says looking at Kanan who looks at him with a worried look. "Something else is sucking here energy away from her. I don't know what and I can't stop it but your draining her she needs someone else to teach her." Beway says to Kanan.
I feel something in my stomach twist and I feel pain but it's not my child I can tell. "What do you want me to let YOU teach her!" Kanan yells angrily. I gasp and a whimper manages to slip through my lips. I scream through the force hoping someone, ANYONE will hear my cry of pain.
"Lyra! Lyra what's wrong?!" I hear Steel asks me through our link.
"Kanan!" I scream through our force link. I feel his fear also I can feel his determination.
"Kanan stop your hurting Lyra." Steel says as he runs out of the Ghost. Kanan gets up and backs off the farther he gets the easier it is to breath and the more I can move. I no longer feel the pain in my stomach. Beway gets up once I'm able to move a little. Steel holds my hand as Beway talks to my father. I move my head as I try to sit up but fail.
"I wasn't going there I was going to say you should let Ahsoka." Beway says to Kanan and someone else speaks up. I start to sit up as Steel holds my hand with one of his and his other hand pushes me up pressing on my back to help me and not hurt me.
"Let me do what?" I hear Ahsoka ask him.
"Train Lyra, Jarrus lost his temper again." Beway says and Ahsoka rushes over to me. I now sit up completely. Ahsoka kneels in front of me. She looks me in my eyes.
"The child?" She asks me and I look down my right arm around my stomach.
"It was in pain so was I but... But it wasn't it causing the pain." I say and Ahsoka nods her head she looks up at my father who stands across the clearing. It's almost impossible to see but I can. I see the bright red in his eyes and I look away barring my face in Steel's shirt. Red! A blazing crimson so dark I can see it from where I sit.
"I will teach her Kanan you need some time Beway stay with me I may need your help to demonstrate something's." Ahsoka says but I shake my head.
"Ezra... Ezra needs help I'm... I'm fine I think I need... Need some time to rest." I say as I struggle to get up. Steel supports me and helps me in the ship. Hera and Sabine sit in the kitchen and rush over to me and Steel when we walk in. We talk in hushed voices.
"What's wrong?" They ask and Steel explains everything and we sit down. When he finishes they look at me.
"Is the child okay?" They ask and I smile. I look down and rub my stomach.
"Yeah it is... As far as I can tell." I tell them and they smile. I breath in and speak. "I want to know what it is." I say and Hera smiles. Sabine sequels and I look up.
"We want to know. I've wanted to know since you told me and Hera about it." Sabine says smiling like she has an idea.
"What are you smiling about?" I ask Sabine and she tells us her plan. To tell you the truth it's good and I really hope it works. Kanan walks into the kitchen the next morning and Hera looks up.
"Love we need supplies so Sabine, Lyra, and I are going to town." Hera says and Kanan looks at Hera quickly.
"Your taking Lyra! I think it would be safer to keep her here." He says and Hera smiles softly.
"Love she'll be fine she'll have Sabine and she needs to get out." Hera says and I wait for his response.
"Fine just please watch her." Kanan says softly and I smile. "And you behave." He tells me making me laugh.
"Okay let's go Lyra." Hera says. I get up and run over to Hera Sabine right behind me as we walk over to the Phantom.
