"My Lord does not indulge in activities one would typically perceive as 'fun'. One can say that he has never found the true definition of the word."

DEMONIC SUBORDINATE HAI RUAN

MEMENTO MORI

The excuse of I'll explain everything in the morning was only made for Wen Jingyi to sleep and hopefully wake up to find that he was only dreaming or hallucinating the night before.

However, Wen Jingyi discovered that what he perceived to be a nightmare was a dream come true. How? Well, the sight of a shirtless man on one's couch should be enough to make anyone begin choking on their morning cup of coffee.

The man at least slept with his pants on, sparing some decency as he took up the entire couch.

Another thought occurred.

Wherever this warrior came from, his body type remained true to the way he was written: big, fleshy, and on the forefront of being considered muscular. His arms and chest had been large and well-rounded, but not as chiseled as a bodybuilder.

His face was quite attractive in its own way as well, with soft cheeks and a lightly refined jawline, along with his long eyelashes and other gentle features...

These had all been masked by the stress of last night's predicament. With sharp eyes and furrowed brows now absent, this man had been torn between the lines of being considered pretty or handsome.

To Wen Jingyi, this had been a matter worth crying over. Seriously, how could someone create such a character who appeared exactly as written in the original work? No cosplayer could compare to the natural charm of the original flavor!

Upon hearing groaning fill the apartment, Wen Jingyi made his way back to the kitchen area to brew tea. Wen Jingyi knew how easy men were to manage in the mornings. He wrote Xun Jie as a man who was even more easy to cooperate with so long as he got what he wanted, too.

A brew of sweet and fruity tea in the morning was part of Xun Jie's morning routine, just as a fresh cup of coffee was a part of Wen Jingyi's. To treat this man to a pot of his favorite blend would automatically lighten his mood and make him grow more accommodated in Wen Jingyi's apartment, overall earning his favor.

By the time he had set up the tea kettle and heated it to a light whistle, Xun Jie was already sitting up on the couch, rubbing his face and struggling to run his fingers through his knotted hair.

"Good morning. I have a pot of pomegranate green tea brewing now. I know it's your favorite. Did you need help with your hair?"

Xun Jie only stared at him as he walked around the coffee table, confused as to how Wen Jingyi could tell such a fact.

"How do you know me?"

Ah, there is that question again. Wen Jingyi still had no clue as to how he should answer without frying Xun Jie's brain.

"Maybe we should save that story for when tea is ready."

Wen Jingyi quickly ran to and from the bathroom, returning with a comb in his hand. Xun Jie was instructed to sit on the floor as Wen Jingyi sat on the couch, running his hand and the comb through his thick and soft hair.

"Who are you?"

Your creator!

"Wen Jingyi."

"Where am I?"

"China."

"Where is that?"

Wow.
