Ghosted

Chapter 3

Bakugo's whole life revolved around being the best, being number 1. He only pledged that vow when Piper asked him to promise he'd be number 1. Which he promised to the bottom of his heart, though he broke that vow.

Izuku Midoriya is currently the number 1 hero, the successor of All Might himself. The Ash Blonde feels like he has no right to find Piper. He couldn't keep his promise, couldn't keep one of his best friends safe.

Bakugo believes that if he catched Poltergeist, the Ghost Vigilante. He'd be able to find Piper, Poltergeist is associated with the LOV. The same gang that kidnapped him in high school, they were willing to do anything to get him to join their side.

Though it majorly backfired, "If you want me to listen, then get on your knees and beg!" He snarled at them. That's when things started to take a turn. They binded him to a metal chair and cuffed his hands and wrists.

He had overheard a conversation while he was there, "The girl is the key."

"She's the power we need to get everything we want."

"Good thing All For One ordered for us to retrieve her."

Till this day, he wondered if Piper was even alive. If she's okay, or if she was kidnapped by LOV like he was. The chances of her being alive were 60%, and the chances of her being injured were 90%.

Bakugo searched through a million papers to find a clue, anything that would aid him in finding her. Though he came up empty-handed, time and time again.

The Ash Blonde's friends all tried to help at one point, but eventually, one by one tried to get him to back off. So he did, till 7 years later he decided to go to her house. To see with his own eyes, what had happened.

He regretted every moment he was there, every step he took. He rummaged through the piles, finding a single metal box. Afraid to even look to see what was inside, debating to leave it be or take it with him back home.

After 10 minutes of talking to himself, he decided to bring it with him; back to his own apartment. So there it was, sitting on his table. Screaming at him to open the container.

Bakugo ran his fingers through his hair, stopping midway; gripping harshly while pulling at his scalp. He released an annoyed groan, "Fuck it."

"K.P.! Long time no see." The bartender greeted, in a tone that slightly annoyed the Raven Haired girl. K.P. is what everyone calls her. No one knows her full name. She refuses to give that information out, even though they might figure it out eventually.

"The usual." She said, taking a seat at the bar while waving her hand. The bartender nodded, turning around. Piper glanced around the bar, not noticing anything unusual.

The last few days have been hell, not that it was worse as the LOV Hideout; but overall exhausting. She was trying so hard to get away from the explosive hero, but he is more persistent than usual.

Wondering why, she concluded it was because in the hero's eyes; she's a villain. Once she finished her drink, she got up. Walking toward the restrooms.

Looking in the mirror, her hair was slightly messy. The one white streak was noticeable, clashing with her Black shoulder-length hair.

Her right eye is a dull color in comparison to the other, and the long Scar reaching from her eye brow; down past her chin.

With a sigh, she turned the cold water on. Leaning on the sink with her palms, staring at her reflection. Everything about her appearance changed from 10 years ago, the Scar, her eyes.

How could one look at her and believe she's Piper Kinley with looking at a photo of when she was young? You can't, but she isn't going to trust that. Once word gets out that she's alive, she'd be all over the news.

They would find out everything about her, ruin her plans. Perhaps even put her in jail for what she's done. She isn't a mean person, Piper's just... Numb.
