Ghosted

Chapter 7

Octopod's tentacle started squeezing Piper tighter, trying not to yell out in pain. Only when she started coughing up blood did he stop, Bakugo watched in horror as he saw blood trinkle down her mask.

"Okay, you sick fuck. I told you I'd help you if you'd help me, but that didn't include you hurting her to get what you wanted." He stated as he crossed his arms, still looking toward her.

The villain only laughed, "Oh no, Mr. Dynamight. I am helping you. Do you want to catch Miss Poltergeist?" The explosive hero only nodded, "And you also want to find you're friend do you not?" Octopod smiled wickedly, holding Piper up higher.

He faced her toward Bakugo, moving her to where her body was horizontal. Making her hood fall off due to her facing toward the sky, her mask remained on her face.

Her head was back, just hanging there looking at Bakugo. His eyes narrowed at her, "How do you know about  that?" He asked, not breaking away from looking at the Vigilante.

Octopod chuckled, "Because I know all about Miss Piper Kinley, DON'T I Poltergeist?" He asked her, flinging her up and slamming her into the ground below. "W-Wait!" She cried. However, it didn't help.

Oh, so I just realized I didn't give an explanation of Piper's quirk. We know she can phase through any object. However, the downside to that is that she can only do so through inanimate objects. She's still learning to do that with animate objects, such as people.

Which is why she isn't able to get away from Octopod. Anyway, as her body collided with the pavement; she got knocked out. Octopod had to squeeze tighter, then he already was to her, so he wouldn't drop her with the force he used. Once that happened, he wasn't really expecting her to pass out so easily.

She just kind of hung there like a rag doll, facing the ground. Her mask cracked in 2 when he lifted her, and it fell to the ground with a couple of clings. Bakugo watched as he did so, "What the hell!? Weren't we going to ask her questions?"

When he didn't get a response, Bakugo used an explosion. Blasting it at Octopod's face, causing him to drop both the Blonde and Piper. Piper landed on the ground rather hard. However, her face was on full display.

Bakugo landed just next to her, he hasnt looked at her yet due to the villain getting ready to attack. At least that's what Bakugo thought, but instead, the Villain decided he was done with them and fled.

The Hero just looked confused with the whole encounter, eventually looking down at the sleeping vigilante. Once he saw her face, his breath hitched. Why the hell was Piper laying on the ground?

He was even more confused, but also not. It all made sense to him at that moment. He watched her pained face morph into one as if she was going to awake. He was right. She gasped as she sat up, coughing up blood.

"F-Fucking Octopus. Stupid 8 ball mother fucker." She mumbled, getting pissed off. Bakugo just listened to her fowl language, slightly chuckling.

"I mean, come on!!! I put something in that sushi jerks drink once, and suddenly, I'm the bad guy?! I was fucking 17!" She yelled, trying to make herself feel better by ranting. She stood up, clutching her side. The cold breeze blowing in her face, making her wince at the new cut on her cheek.

"Kinley." Bakugo said, taking off his gauntlets. She froze, turning slightly to face him. "I uh..." She started but winced again when she saw the look on his face, pissed off.

He took a step closer, "Why didn't you stay when I saw you? And why the hell are you running around acting like a damn villain?" His voice was quiet but stern. Like a father repromanding his child, it honestly made Piper cower.

She gulped, "Because I -" She started, getting cut off by Bakugo. "Everyone thought I was fucking crazy! Because I told them I saw you that night! I don't even care if you're the Ghost bitch! But I do care that you NEVER STAY!   YOU DIDN'T STAY 10 YEARS AGO AND YOU DIDN'T A FEW WEEKS AGO! AND NOW I FIND OUT THAT YOU ARE THE GHOST BITCH! HOW IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MAKE ME FEEL?!"

Piper was confused, why was he so mad at her? She didn't understand. He just kept going. Kept ranting.

Eventually, when his voice started cracking is when she had enough. Listening to him bitch at her was pissing her off, "SHUT UP!" She yelled, alot louder then the loud hero himself.

He stopped yelling, taking the bait. "YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO BE PISSED AT ME WHEN I HAD NO CONTROL OVER WHAT HAPPENED TO ME! YOU THINK IM HAPPY ABOUT IT?! DO YOU THINK I FUCKING WANTED TO BE THE LOV'S LAB RAT?! BECAUSE I GARENTEE YOU BAKUGO KATSUKI I DONT GIVE A FLYING FUCK ABOUT HOW YOU FEEL RIGHT NOW!"

She snapped. She didn't mean  to say that, but she did. "Bakugo, I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say I don't care, I do it's just -" Bakugo held up his hand, "I get it, you have un finished business, don't you?" Piper nodded her head, "Yeah."

He hummed, "Is it illegal?" He asked, the wind blowing his hair off to the side. The Ravenette nodded her head again, looking at the ground. "Yeah."

Bakugo shook his head slightly, "Then come find me again when you do. Don't tell me what you did, and then we can go back to how we were 10 years ago."

He sounded hopeful, like everything would be exactly the same. Piper tried to make him understand, "Kat, nothing is going to be the same, and you know that."

"Please just promise me you will." He pleaded, he was determined. Piper will give him that, but she reluctantly agreed. "I promise." Though she may not be able to keep that promise, not with what she was planning to do.
