"I'm home!" Jimin's cheerful announcement filled the humble one-room apartment he shared with his elderly mother. With practiced ease, he slipped off his heels at the doorstep, the familiar routine of homecoming settling around him. Bending down, he retrieved his wet shoes, carefully placing them in the corner to dry, before slipping into a pair of cozy home slippers retrieved from the shoe rack.

As he hung his sling bag on the hook behind the door, he called out to his mother, affection coloring his voice. "Eomma!"

From the room they shared, Jimin's mother emerged, her aging features softened by the warmth of her smile. "Jimin-ah, you're back," she greeted, her voice carrying a hint of relief at his return.

Shivering slightly from the cold, Jimin stood at the entrance area, grateful for the familiar comfort of home and the presence of his beloved mother. Together, they shared a bond that beyond the modest place of their living space, they both find solace and joy in each other's presence.

"Yeah, eomma, it was raining outside, and I ended up getting soaked," Jimin admitted sheepishly, his arms wrapped around himself in a futile attempt to ward off the chill that had settled into his bones. Despite his efforts, he couldn't shake off the sudden cold that enveloped him.

His mother's anxious expression softened as she scolded him gently, her concern evident in her actions as she reached for a towel to dry him off. "Aeigo, Jimin-ah, I've told you to always carry an umbrella, especially during the unpredictable spring rains," she chided, her voice laced with maternal worry as she began dabbing the towel on his dripping hair.

Jimin nodded, feeling a pang of guilt for causing his mother concern. Yet, in her gentle care and loving scolding, he found comfort and reassurance. Despite the hardships they faced, their bond remained unbreakable, a little of warmth and love between the cold and unpredictability of the world outside.

"Yeah, eomma, I'm sorry. I'll be more careful next time," Jimin muttered apologetically, feeling a pang of guilt for causing his mother worry. But before he could dwell on it further, a sudden sneeze caught them both off guard, signaling the onset of a cold.

Concern etched on her face, Jimin's mother wasted no time in taking charge. "You've caught a cold. Quickly, take off your clothes here and wrap yourself in this towel," she instructed, her maternal instincts kicking into high gear. "Thankfully, I've made chicken soup for dinner. Go take a warm bath and come back soon." After stating that she left to the kitchen.

With a nod of understanding, Jimin followed his mother's orders. He shed his wet clothes, leaving them in a haphazard pile, and wrapped the towel snugly around himself. With a sense of urgency, he hurried to the bathroom, the promise of a warm bath and comforting chicken soup spurring him on. Despite the discomfort of his cold, he couldn't help but feel grateful for the love and care his mother showered upon him in times of need.

After emerging from the comforting embrace of a warm bath, Jimin gathered up his wet clothes and swiftly deposited them into the washing machine. With practiced efficiency, he added a generous amount of liquid soap before pressing the button to start the cycle, ensuring that his soaked garments would soon be fresh and clean once more.

With his chores completed, Jimin made his way to the dining area, where his mother had already set the table with care. A spread of steaming chicken soup awaited them, its aroma tantalizing his senses and stirring his appetite. His mother sat patiently, her eyes twinkling with anticipation as she waited for Jimin to join her.

"Wah, eomma, it looks delicious," Jimin exclaimed, a wide grin spreading across his face as he rubbed his hands together in anticipation. Taking his seat other side his mother, he eagerly prepared himself for a hearty meal shared in the warmth of their humble home.
