Chapter 11. Betrayal.

Jungkook stood tall on the balcony of his luxurious suite, located in the grand resort. He savored the rich taste of whiskey, gently held a favorite cigarette between his fingers, and exhaled wisps of smoke into the air. His unruly hair danced in the salty breeze that drifted from the nearby sea, offering a breathtaking view from his vantage point.

With narrowed eyes, Jungkook gazed into the vastness of the ocean, observing the rhythmic ebb and flow of the tides. The frothy foam created by the waves was the only visible sign in the darkness of the night. Despite the peaceful ambiance and the comforting sound of the ocean, Jungkook's mind remained preoccupied with thoughts of a particular individual.

As he indulged in the serene setting, Jungkook's eyelids began to grow heavy, weighed down by the peacefulness surrounding him. Yet, in the middle of this calmness, his thoughts continued to swirl around the mysterious figure who occupied his mind.

As Jungkook took measured sips of whiskey and let tendrils of smoke curl from his cigarette, his mind wandered back to the  moment at the party. It was the first time he had ever mustered the courage to propose to someone, and the significance of that moment weighed heavily on his thoughts. Yet, in the whirlwind of emotions, he knew deep down that Jimin was the one he truly desired by his side.

"Be mine, Jimin. Stay by my side, omega," he repeated softly, the words lingering in the air with newfound determination.

Jimin's eyes widened at the familiar yet slightly modified declaration again, reflecting a mix of surprise and uncertainty. Despite Jungkook's intense gaze fixed upon him, Jimin remained silent, his expression akin to someone encountering the unexpected.

Sensing the need for clarity, Jungkook thought to rephrasing his proposal, searching for the right words to convey the depth of his feelings for Jimin. With a steady resolve, he prepared to articulate his emotions once more, determined to capture Jimin's heart.

In a surprising turn of events, Jungkook's usually authoritative tone softened as he uttered, "Jimin, I want to cherish you." It was a polite and respectful manner of speaking that he had never used before, a stark difference from his usual demeanor as a mafia lord. Yet, in the heat of the moment, Jungkook hardly registered the significance of his words or the unfamiliarity of his tone. All his attention was fixated on Jimin's impending response.

As the silence stretched on, Jimin remained locked in a gaze with Jungkook, his amber eyes unwavering. The omega seemed to be deliberating, each passing moment intensifying Jungkook's growing impatience. He yearned for a definitive answer, be it a resounding yes or a disappointing no. However, the possibility of rejection hadn't crossed Jungkook's mind until now, and the mere thought left him feeling unsettled and apprehensive about what his next move would entail.

Unconsciously, thw thought of rejection making Jungkook's gaze darkened, and his arms instinctively tightened around Jimin, pulling him closer. However, the embrace remained gentle enough not to alarm Jimin.

Finally, Jimin broke the intense stare, blinking softly as a small, tender smile graced his beautiful face. The sudden confession had left him feeling bashful, evident in the rosy hue that tinted his cheeks. With a shy gesture, Jimin brushed a strand of hair behind his ear, mustering the courage to respond to Jungkook's plea.

"Alpha," Jimin uttered softly, his voice carrying a gentle warmth that melted the tension in the air. Jungkook's demeanor shifted almost instantaneously upon hearing Jimin's sweet voice, his dark aura disappearing as he let out a relieved hum, his impatience fading away in the presence of Jimin's honey like soft voice calling him by his sub gender.

"Hmm?"

Jimin's smile returned, even though a tinged with a hint of nervousness never left, the omega gently nibbled on his bottom lip before meeting Jungkook's gaze directly.
