5 years later...
The morning sun filtered through the large windows of their beautiful mansion, casting a warm glow over the cozy kitchen. Jungkook sat at the breakfast table, calmly sipping his coffee while savoring the quiet moment. Across from him, their three dogs lounged lazily on the floor, basking in the sunlight.
The peace was soon interrupted by the sound of tiny footsteps pattering across the floor. Jimin was chasing after their young son, Taejun, who was giggling and trying to escape his mother’s grasp. In Jimin's hand was a half-full glass of milk that Taejun had been refusing to finish.
“Taejun, come back here!” Jimin called out, his voice laced with a mix of exasperation and amusement. He was dressed in wrinkled pajamas, his hair hastily thrown up in a messy bun. A few strands had escaped, framing his still-beautiful face. His camisole top was splattered with milk from an earlier mishap.
Taejun dodged around the table, his small feet moving quickly as he tried to evade his mother’s reach. But Jimin was determined. He finally cornered the little boy near the door, kneeling down to his level.
“Just one more sip, sweetheart,” Jimin coaxed gently, holding out the glass with a smile.
Taejun pouted but took the glass, sipping the milk obediently under his mother’s watchful eye. Once he was done, he handed the glass back with a grin, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
“Good boy,” Jimin praised, ruffling Taejun’s hair before standing up.
Meanwhile, at the table, their twin daughters, Hana and Hyejin, were seated in their high chairs, babbling and gurgling happily. They were only a few months old, with soft tufts of dark hair and big, curious eyes. They made funny noises, drawing Jungkook’s attention.
“What are you two talking about?” Jungkook asked playfully, leaning forward to make eye contact with his daughters. He spoke in a gentle, teasing tone that made both girls squeal with delight.
Jungkook chuckled, reaching out to tickle their tiny feet. Hana kicked her legs excitedly, while Hyejin responded with a big gummy smile, her eyes lighting up with joy.
Jimin smiled at the sight, feeling a warm glow in his chest as he watched his husband interact with their children. The moment was simple but filled with love, the kind that made their home feel complete.
“Alright, Taejun, time to get ready for school,” Jimin said, turning his attention back to their son.
Wonho, was waiting by the door, ready to escort Taejun to school. With a final wave, Jimin sent his very active son off, watching as Taejun skipped out the door, holding Wonho’s hand.
As soon as the door closed, Jimin let out a deep sigh of relief, slumping down onto the couch in the living room. He finally had a moment to catch his breath. The house was peaceful again, save for the occasional cooing from the twins.
Jungkook stood up from the table and walked over to where Jimin was sitting. He took in the sight of his mate—Jimin looked tired but content, his pajamas wrinkled from the morning’s activities, his camisole still marked with a splash of milk. Despite the disheveled appearance, Jungkook thought Jimin looked beautiful, his face glowing with the love he poured into their family.
With a soft smile, Jungkook leaned down and planted a loving kiss on Jimin’s forehead. Jimin closed his eyes at the touch, a content sigh escaping his lips.
“I love you, darling,” Jungkook whispered, his voice filled with warmth and affection. “See you in the evening. Be ready for the night party we have to attend, okay?”
