It's been Half a Day after we left the Hidden Base.
The Sun was beginning to set, and there wasn't too far left until New Bark Town.
...Arc was exhausted. That much was evident, since he's been carrying us the entire time.
'...We should be far enough...'
"Arc, we can stop here. We're almost to New Bark..." I said.
...Arc didn't say anything, but began to slow down.
After finally coming to a complete stop, Arc collapsed, nearly causing us to fall off.
"Arc!? Are you alright!?"
...With a loud Snore, it was clear that he was just exhausted.
"...Thank you. ...You've done more than enough. ...BUT, you can't sleep in the middle of the Road. Come on, wake up." I tapped Arc on the nose a few times.
Arc lazily opened his eyes, and looked up at me before closing his eyes again.
"Come on. At least become something smaller before dozing off."
...Slowly, Arc's body began to shrink, and, to my surprise, he didn't turn into a Goomy, but instead had the Lower Half of an Axew, and the Top Half of a Pichu.
'...Freaky. ...But it'll do for now.'
I lifted Arc from the Ground, and we moved to an Area within the Forest that was suitable enough for Camping.
I handed Alay a Blanket, and she set it down, helping her children rest.
Afterwards, she helped me set up Camp by looking for Firewood and Stones while I put up the Tent.
And, thanks to the PokeGear, I managed to light a Fire with a Fire Stone, instead of having to use Alay's Electricity this time.
"...What a Day, huh?" I sighed, sitting down on a nearby rock.
"Y-Yes... Thank you, again, for rescuing those Pokemon." Alay said.
"...Don't mention it..."
Taking out a few Pokeballs, I toss them into the Air, taking out my entire Team.
"...Where is this?" Mina asked while stretching.
"We're almost to New Bark, so we're just setting up Camp for the night." I explained.
"...We're... We're out?" Bea asked, looking around, confused and worried.
...Liv gave a huge sigh of relief, slumping to her knees.
"I thought we were really going to..." She sighed.
"Papa!"
Sui climbed up and wrapped herself around my neck.
...And, to my surprise, Shizu also ran towards me, hugging my leg with a smile on her face as if nothing ever happened.
...With a sigh, I lift Shizu into my arms.
"...That was the closest call we've had... It was nothing short of luck that we even managed to escape. And... Arc worked himself down to his core in order to do so." I looked to Arc, who was still sleeping soundly.
"...I never wanna do that again." Bea said, Bun consoling her...
"...Now I understand that we're severely lacking Strength. Even with Via, who's a Mythical Pokemon, she's not powerful enough to take on the more powerful Legendaries. Even if I took her with me..."
"...Tch. This is seriously pissing me off." Via said, looking annoyed as she floats up from my Bag.
"...I'll cook up something to relieve some of the leftover tension. ...I think we all deserve a break after what just went down."
