We are finally halfway done with the story. By this time, I was hoping things would get more interactive. So please do tell in the comments what you think of the story by far. Are you liking it? I would love to know your thoughts.

Jungkook and Yoongi work together on stacking the firewood, the rhythmic clinks of the logs echoing through the campsite. Vante stands a bit away with Jinah, observing the scene with a mix of nerves and anticipation. Jinah nudges him on the shoulder, breaking him out of his reverie. "Why does it look like you haven't told Jungkook about it yet?" she asks curiously.

Vante lets out a sigh, running a hand through his hair. "Because I haven't," he admits, his voice tinged with uncertainty. Jinah's eyes widen in surprise. "Are you serious? But why?" she inquires, her concern evident in her tone.

Vante huffs, feeling the weight of the conversation pressing down on him. "Jungkook has been busy with this new assignment, and I didn't have the time. And then... I got nervous," he confesses, his voice trailing off slightly.

Jinah wraps her arm around him in a comforting gesture. "But now you have to. Otherwise, what excuse are you thinking of giving him?" she points out gently, her words urging him to take action.

Vante gazes up at the sky, feeling the weight of his decision looming over him. He knows Jungkook was the one who proposed the idea but what if in last few day he changed his mind. His thoughts are interrupted by Jungkook's voice calling out his name, pulling him back to the present moment.

Vante walks towards Jungkook, feeling the warmth of his embrace enveloping him as Jungkook pulls him close. Jungkook nuzzles his face into Vante's neck, releasing his own scent and instantly Vante feels himself relaxing into the familiar scent of his mate. As Jungkook pulls away, concern evident in his eyes, he asks, "I could sense your distress. What's troubling you, huh?"

Vante plays with the hair at the back of Jungkook's neck, finding comfort in the intimacy of their connection, before finally deciding to tell Jungkook the truth. "Jungkook, I can't hunt today," he begins, bracing himself for Jungkook's reaction.

Jungkook, though visibly confused, simply nods in acceptance, not probing further. Vante, however, feels a pang of frustration. This quality of Jungkook, Vante likes a lot but right now it is not helpful a lot. He wants Jungkook to ask why.

"Won't you ask why?" Vante prompts, hoping for a different response from Jungkook.

Jungkook smiles reassuringly. "It's fine if you don't want to. We can always just run around the forest. I'll do the hunting," he suggests, trying to ease the tension.

"But I can't shift too," Vante adds, watching as Jungkook's expression shifts from casual to serious. Jungkook makes Vante sit down and asks, "What's the matter, Vante? Are you feeling sick again?"

Memories of the past week flood back to Vante - the vomiting, the dizziness, the tight schedule that prevented him from seeking proper medical attention. He had brushed it off as mere weakness, not wanting to burden Jungkook with his troubles. But now, faced with Jungkook's concern, Vante feels compelled to confide in him.

"Do you notice something different about me?" he asks, his voice filled with uncertainty.

Jungkook moves back slightly to give Vante a thorough glance, his brow furrowed in thought. "Why do I feel like you're glowing more than usual?" he muses aloud, a playful grin dancing on his lips. Vante's nerves pick up, hopeful that Jungkook is heading in the right direction, but his hopes are dashed when Jungkook continues, "But we haven't done anything for a while now. Don't tell me I'm that good that you're still glowing."
