"you're leaving?" Kaia asked. 

Skyler - Yes

The two were in the kitchen having dinner. Although they don't really know each other, eating together became a habit as they somehow enjoyed each other's company.

The question came when Skyler finally gave Kaia his phone back. Kaia thought he lost his phone when he was kidnapped but turns out Skyler had it all along. Though the battery had died and was switched off.

K - you had my phone?

S - of course.

K - why didn't you give it to me?

S - why should I? You're my captive as far as I remember.

K - ....right..... But why are you giving it to me now?

S - well..... My time here is up. I'm needed back home so you're free to go.

K - just like this? Why? What about your whole revenge thing? Are you ashamed it backfired on you? Is that why you're leaving?

Kaia's words stabbed his heart multiple times but still Skyler answered truthfully.

S - Don't misunderstand I'm still set on my revenge.... Just not right now.... A child needs me back home.

When Kaia heard this his expression suddenly turned disgusted. To him who don't know the full story and only bits and bits Skyler came out as a man who was cheating on his wife and child with another man. And he came here leaving his child to get revenge on his ex-lover.

Skyler sensed that Kaia had somehow gotten the wrong idea.

S - whatever you're thinking I'm sure it's not true.

K -..... Why are still set on getting revenge if you had a kid is just what I'm thinking?

S - because it's not my kid dumbass......

The atmosphere became gloomy and Kaia knew this might be a sensitive topic so he tried to change the conversation but before he could Skyler continued,

S - That snake killed the kid's father and ran away.

Kaia doesn't need to ask who this snake was, it was pretty obvious. He didn't know what to say. It was pretty suprising to him that Yui might do something like that.

S - Anyway I'm gonna adopt her if her mother doesn't make it. But I don't think I can given my history plus the police there seems to think I'm the killer. So I needed him.

Kaia finally realised why Skyler kidnapped Yui now because if he can get his confession then there's a higher chance for him to get the kid.

The two didn't spoke for a while and just kept on eating.

K - what's the kid's name?

He finally asked.

S - Lilian.... Her father named her.

K - it's beautiful.

When Kaia finally opened his phone there were 99+ notifications.

So many missed calls and text messages. And almost 50 of them were from the same person, Julian. It's like he called him everyday. Kaia would've been touched if not for the fact that Julian completely neglected him that day so he was a bit happy that he didn't picked up his calls. To be honest he was scared to pick up his calls what if Julian track his phone just like last time it would be a nightmare.

There were a few missed calls from Leila and Phil. So his first priority was to call them.

After reaching out to them, Kaia was right they had no clue that he was in this situation, Phil was only calling to brag about his honeymoon.

The remaining missed calls were from Akerian. Although they haven't been friends for long Kaia was touched that he was worried about him. When he read his message it was all about asking where he was and why the bakery isn't open yet.

Feeling guilty for not fulfilling his promise to Akerian, Kaia finally to send a reply.

"Hey Sorry... I'm fine, will open it soon"

Almost immediately after sending the text Akerian called. Kaia was suprised for a moment and contemplate whether he should pick up or not.

In the end he finally did.

A - Kaia! Where are you?! Are you okay?! Where have you been?! Why didn't you picked up my calls?....

Akerian bombed Kaia with so many questions.

K - I'm fine calm down you're gonna damage my ears.

Akerian suddenly shut up after hearing that and spoke in a low tone.

A - okay where are you?

K - ...... Someplace.... I'm fine so don't worry I'll come back in a few days.

A - where? I'll come get you.

K - no it's fine don't. Instead I want you to do something for me.

Akerian felt his heat race, this was the first time Kaia asked him of something so he immediately answered.

A - yes of course anything!

K - I want you to get my stuffs from their apartment. It's not much just my clothes and some documents and keep them with you.

A - Really? That's all?

K - yes

A - when can I see you?

K - .....soon.

A - okay.....

Kaia felt awkward and guilty that for what he asked but he didn't wanna see Julian nor Yui.

K - I'll hang up then.

A - wait!.....

Kaia stopped.

A - can you call me tomorrow too? Until we meet in person.

Kaia's heart warmed hearing this so he agreed and hung up.

Skyler who was watching this whole conversation suddenly spoke next to Kaia.

S - So that's the one you think is the most handsome?

K - what?

S - Nothing don't mind me.
