Kaia looked at Akerian in disbelief. To think this 5 star restaurant was owned by his boyfriend, he didn't expected it. A realisation struck him when he remembered the last time he came here, he paid full amount for the salad when he could've gotten a friendly discount. He became moody and upset.

A - What's wrong?

Kai ignored him.

A - Anyway what would you like? I'll pay.

Kaia was now angry. He angrily looked at the menu.

K - I can pay for myself.

A - I didn't say you can't. I'm the one who's taking you out so I'll pay.

K - Huh?

A - My logic is whoever's idea was to go on a date pays for the date. Today I'm taking you out so I'll pay. If next time you take me out then you'll pay.

K - Ahh sound clever.

A - hehe thanks.

Kaia rolled his eyes seeing this idiot feeling proud of himself. When the waiter came to take the order Kaia ordered the same lobster dish that Akerian took before.

A - You liked that huh?

K - um.

The two had a lovely dinner. As a couple now they were living together and to Kaia this was all new to him. Although they lived together before they weren't dating then. To Kaia this was strange, he was never alone while eating, he didn't have to wipe the floor when Akerian came out of the shower, sometimes he would find the other man waiting for him when he came back home late.

The lunch he made, Akerian would always sent him a picture after eating saying thanks for the lunch. For the first time in his life he felt appreciated, he felt seen, he felt loved. Who knew he would end up falling for this red haired man who showed up on his door one day.

This was how happiness felt he thought.

A - So...... My dad wants to meet you.

Kaia stopped eating. They were having a nice dinner after cooking together just a while ago. He knew what happened to Julian so he was kinda scared and nervous.

K - Won't he hate.... Me?

A - It's okay he's old. He doesn't have much time left. I just wanted you guys to meet before he.... Left.

The room went silent. Kaia got up and hugged Akerian.

K - okay

It was a good day when both Akerian and Kaia pulled up to the Ardino mansion. To Kaia this was the first time to see such a big house.

A - Ah this is just a small house here my grandpa's house outside of the country is much more better. Sorry.

Kaia was shocked. Did this man just apologize for this big mansion saying that it's small? Rich people are in a league of their own he thought.

An old man with a neat uniform came out and greeted them.

A - Bailey! Long time no see.

Bailey who was the housekeeper of the Ardino mansion smiled back at him. He was a man with righteous path. He cared both for Akerian and Julian. Growing up he would scold Akerian for bullying Julian and cared for the latter when he cried. Nobody would go against Bailey simply because he was just... a pure and good hearted person.

Bailey - It's been a long time, Young Master.

Akerian looked like a kid excited to see his family after a long time. Kaia watched the two interact and slowly smiled.

Bailey was nagging him to come visit more, even pinching Akerian's cheeks. The big red haired man bent down a little to talk to the old man. Kaia finds this cute.

After a while Bailey greeted Kaia and took them up to Akerian's old room.

K - I'm getting nervous.

A - Don't be.... Dad may be a bit uptight in the past but with him getting old he'll be fine.... I think. Even grandpa's okay with it.

Indeed Roger's father was the head of the Ardino family outside this country and Akerian used to stay with him when he was young plus his grandpa didn't mind at all. Probably because he was too old to understand.

On the other hand Roger who has fallen ill had been bedridden for a while now. It seems he would meet death earlier than his father. He wished to meet Julian and mend their relationship but it seems he wouldn't have much time left.

When night came and dinner was set. The main family members in this mansion came down to eat. Roger, Miko and Akerian all meet at the table. Kaia felt the tension. He was already in a bad relationship with Miko and he could tell that Akerian wasn't on good terms with her either.

Kaia gulped and was sweating.

This is going to be a long dinner he thought.
