After school let out, I was making my way outside when Tatum and Sidney caught up to me. "Hey, Sid's dad is going out of town, so she's staying at my place while he's gone. You wanna come too? I know your mom's always working late at the hospital," Tate said.

I looked between the two girls before shrugging, "I'm not sure. I'll have to talk to her about it."

"Okay, we could pick you up when she gets me after practice," Sid suggested.

"I'll let you guys know."

"Okay, call me," Tate said.

"I will."

I watched as she went towards the football field and Sidney to the school bus. Just then, Randy caught up to me. "Hey Haze," he said.

I grinned over at him, bumping his shoulder with mine. "Hey, did you find what you were looking for in the library?"

"Oh, nah, someone already checked it out," he shrugged.

"Oh, that's too bad," I said and jumped when someone's arm was slung around my shoulders. I relaxed once I smelled the familiar cologne of Stu. "Hey babe, you ready?" he asked, smirking over at Randy.

"Yeah," I told him. "Where's Billy?"

"Right here," he popped up beside Randy, causing him to jump. He cleared his throat before stepping in front of us.

"Uh, I better get to work. Stop by if you have any movie needs," I visibly saw him cringe after saying this and stifled a laugh.

"You got it, blockbuster boy. You're my horror movie dealer," I smirked.

His ears got red and he opened his mouth to say something before closing it again and smiling, walking away quickly.

Once he was gone, I giggled a little. We made it to Stu's fancy car and then he opened the passenger door for me, bowing dramatically.

I grinned, getting inside as Billy got in the back and Stu slid across the hood, getting into the driver's seat.

As he started driving to his place, Billy spoke up. "So what's with you and Meeks lately?"

"What do you mean?" I asked, turning in my seat to look at him.

"You two seem to be pretty flirty," Stu spoke up, glancing at me before wiggling his eyebrows.

"You into the dork or something?" Billy asked, his voice deeper than usual.

I laughed, shaking my head. "He's a great guy, and fun to be around, but I don't know, I kinda have a thing for- nevermind," I shook my head, feeling my cheeks heat up. How could I be so stupid to almost let it slip?

"For who?" Stu asked, his eyes wide in excitement.

"I don't know, just someone else." I nervously looked at the two who seemed to be sharing a strange look. "What's it matter if I did like Randy anyway?"

I glanced back at Billy who's eyes had darkened at my words. "It doesn't," he grumbled.

"Mmhmm," I smiled, looking at Stu, whose eyes were also now a dark night sky shade of blue. "What about you, Stuy? Got any comments about it?"

"Nope," he shrugged, trying to hide his distaste at my suggestion.

I shook my head, looking out the window with a grin. These boys.

Once we got to Stu's I asked to borrow the phone to ask my mom about going to Tatum's this evening. "Sure, I'm going to go get some drinks from the garage, Billy, you wanna help?" Stu asked. Billy rolled his eyes but followed anyway.
